Never!! I know there's a point in a child's life where having mom or dad say "I love you" in front of friends is embarassing, but never stop saying it at home. I'm 23, married w/ a child of my own. Whenever I leave my parents' house after a visit, we always say I love you before we leave. Everytime I talk to my parents on the phone, we tell each other I love you. Don't ever stop telling your child I love you- you nor they will be here forever.

Why would you stop telling them that??? Kids need to know that we love them, and you can never tell them too much!!!! If you all of the sudden stopped, your child would think that they did something to make you not love them anymore. Don't emotionally scar your children.

Your a jackass just for asking that question! Why would you want to stop telling your kids that you love them? As a parent you should love your child unconditionally forever and TELL them that every chance you get. You never know what could happen to either one of you.

what in the world are you thinking? YOU SHOULD NEVER STOP TELLING A CHILD THAT YOU LOVE THEM NO MATTER HOW OLD THEY GET. they need to feel loved and by stopping at a certain age will make them feel unwanted and unloved and it will also teach them that they don't need to tell people that they love them(ones they care about). children will always need to feel loved and they will always need to hear those three little words. i am 27 years old and my mom still tells me she loves me and i appreciate that.

OMG! NEVER stop telling your child that you love them! NEVER! Tell them as often and as many times as possible for as long as you are able to! Love for your child never stops. I am 36 and my parents tell me they love me every time we talk on the phone or see each other. I tell my own children every day that I love them. My kids tell me they love me several times a day. I could not imagine anyone not wanting to say that to their children or not wanting to hear it in return.

What a sad question. I hope never. I didn't marry until I was 28 and every night before I went to bed I kissed goodnight and we told each other that we loved each other. We don't say it as much now but when I hear it from her it makes me feel good!

I'm over 30 and my mom still tells me every time we talk on the phone.
My kids are 8, 4 & 2 and I tell them everyday.
