No. Don't see any reason that they should. At this point PG 13 movies push the envelope enough.

No, my son is 14 and at 13 he just started watching PG-13 movies and he was ecstatic! He can't wait to turn 16-17 so that we can watch the Halloween movie and sequels on Halloween. The ratings are there for a reason, some are these movies are too much for adults, let alone children whose minds are constantly developing. Let a kid be a kid. Rated R movies have been around for ever and will be around even longer. They have enough time to experience that.

I would say absolutely not, my boys are 12 and 6 and I will pre-view most all movies first before they see it. You would be surprised of the content and the innuendo's that PG movies have let alone PG 13.....I know I was!!!

I have just started letting my almost 13 year old watch PG-13 and then I either watch it first or watch it with her. There isn't any reason for a child to watch violent or gory movies - even if they claim 'everyone else has seen it'.

i imagine they could be a touch too youthful. i'm 15 and that i have been watching rated r video clips for decades. yet I merely watch them if there is truly like no nudity in it or something. you should ascertain what it truly is rated R for, like swearing, battling or although. And the theater gained't enable them see it likely because you need to be 17 or older. yet my dad enable me see an exceedingly undesirable rated r movie with him and that i changed into like 10. I hate him for letting me see it and in no way being concerned sufficient, i changed into crying alot. It had truly truly undesirable stuff in it although.

Studies have been done on this. R rated and a lot of PG-13 rated movies have a negative effect on the child. In no way is it okay. It increases bad behavior, aggression, etc. No way should you let your child watch bad movies.

My son is 8 and I pretty much let him watch whatever he wants. I think that as long as we teach our children what is real and what isnt, its not a big problem. He knows how he is supposed to act and that movies are made up and he shouldnt do what they do just because he sees it on tv. I think the same goes with video games, they arent real! If you give your children the truth right from the start, they will grow up good, even if they watch rated r movies.

Absolutely not, my wife and I won't allow them to see any movies over the PG rating, we hardly watch any R rated movies ourselves as adults.
