According to my daughters Dr. a child needs 11 - 12 hours sleep/ night. So go according to that guideline to set bedtime knowing what time your child needs to get up to get ready for school. When my daughter was in kindergarten she went to bed between 7 -7:30 pm and got up at 7 am

Kids that age need 10-12 hours of sleep every night. It would depend mostly on what time you have to wake them in the morning. Also, common sense should tell you that if you're getting the kid up and it's having a hard time getting up, then perhaps you should push bedtime up a little. You know your child best, so do what feels right.

I would say that would depend on the time they need to get up for school, they need to get at least 8-9 hours of sleep. The most important thing is to make sure the bedtime is consistent....the same time every night and routine, lets say a bath, story and then bed....a consistent routine is the key that goes hand in hand with a set bed time. Good luck

alot depends on your child and family. I think a kindergarten child should be in bed by around 8-8:30. Parents need to remember that not only do their kids need a good nights sleep for school but parents also neeed time to be together and get things ready for the next day.

All kids are different, but we put my daughter to bed between 9 -9:30. She got up at 6:30, and she did great in kindergarten. She's in first grade now with the same bed time.

Children need a lot of sleep! If they do not get enough sleep, the growth hormone (which is released during sleep) doesn't get released into their blood stream. Slows down their growth. And speaking as a parent that has weathered those years, a cranky, groggy child in the morning is just wretched. A child who has slept enough is much nicer to get to school in the morning. I would put a kindergartner in bed by 7:00, 7:30 at the latest.

Most kids this age need at least 10-12 hours of sleep. What time do you have to get going? For 7 am wake up, I'd have them in bed for sleeping by 8:00 pm. Start 'quiet time at 7:30.
Be flexible for a while and see what works.

It depends on the difference between children. Some of them need more sleep while other don't.I'd say 9 o'clock or 9:30.My daughter is 5 and she goes to bed at 10:00(she has 2 older sisters and 2 older brothers,so she is used to a bit late going to bed). The twins(age 2) go to bed at 8:30.

Mine is in bed by 8 pm, but I let her play her leap pad or read for a bit... asleep by 8:30 or 9:00 pm. We have to be up for 6:30 am and there is no nap time at school.

I think it all depends on the child's disposition & your family's routine. As long as it is consistent, the child will be fine. My kindergartner has lights out at 9:00. He gets up around 7:00 with no problem. My 3rd grader has lights out at 9:30 and is miserable in the morning, no matter how much sleep he gets & what time he gets up!
