You know that game where you try to knock a walnut out of someone's mouth, and the first one to do it is the winner? I was playing that with my 17 year old son and 5 year old daughter and we had an accident. My wife doesn't like when I play this game because she says it's too rough. I need for her to believe that the tooth could have come out on its own.

Have your daughter tell mom she broke her tooth on your 'walnut'....she'll calm down about the game then.

of course it is normal, especially the front teeth, this is about the age where they would start to be replaced by permanent teeth.

well to be honest it's a bit early, maybe 6 to 9 months, but it's about ok.

normally you should be able to see your daughter's permanent tooth pretty soon. If you don't then you're in for a trip to the dentist.

anyway, it does seem like a dumb game indeed ;-)

It depends on whether it is a baby tooth or a new tooth. If it is a new tooth then it is really bad, as it will not grow back. If it is a baby tooth then ask your dentist if you might have problems, 'cause I knocked out my brother's tooth when we were younger (alright I am not proud about it) and some of his teeth came out wonky and now he has bracers.
