Off to the Doctors. Breast milk will be almost completely absorbed and little waste is to be expected. The Formula you are using may need to be changed.

Is the reason she is not getting enough breast milk due to you feeding her formula? If so, pump the breast milk out into a bottle you can store in the freezer and unfreeze in a pot of hot tap water by placing the unopened bottle directly in it until desired temperature. I nursed four children, talk to your doctor if you think you may not be producing enough milk. Normally, if all is working as it should, the more the baby nurses the more milk is produced. Good luck. You could put a small amount of Karo syrup in the bottle of formula to aid with the constipation problem.

Could be the type of formula. You can try switching it to one that breaks down easier. Breast milk would help, but if that is not possible you may want to just check with the pediatrician. You cannot give a baby that young anything that will make them go, so be careful of the advice you get here.

Help momma get more milk by rubbing her breast. If she won't let you near, just use a breast pump. Once milk starts to really flow, problem solved.
Also, don't mix formula quite as strong.
Enjoy the world of poopy diapers.

if breast feeding why give any formula at all?
if it is a case of convenience you can express your milk and put it in the fridge, that way she is always getting mother's milk.

Breastfeed more if possible. If not, talk to the pediatrician to find out if switching formula would help - either the brand or over to soy.
