Set a base pay of $20 bux. After a certain time, pay her extra.
Five bux an hour after 11pm sounds reasonable.
She may have other ideas,so ask her what she is thinking .

I don't think there is a set wage. I pay my sitters $5 per hour and with a $25 max for my five year old. Five and Six year olds are pretty independent. Now my 16 month old I pay $10 per hour with a $30 max. hope this helps! :)

Depends on where you live. $5 per hour/1 child is the going rate. Is the child going to be awake? Does she have to feed him a meal? Bathe him? or is he in bed, asleep and she can just watch TV? I'd offer a flat rate of $25 and extra per hour after midnight. Always overpay a good sitter with tips. Negotiate the fee prior to her arrival so there is no awkwardness when it comes time to pay her. Leave out board games, snacks and stuff to do. Good Luck and have fun on your night out!

I currently pay about $11 per hour for two kids, with a minimum of $40. She works with you and you don't want to seem cheap. Also, she drives herself to and from your home...that's a plus.
That said, for 1 kid, I'd pay $7.00 an hour with a $25 minimum. That way, she'll be there whenever you need her because it's worth her while.
