My wife is seven months pregnant with our first child. I guess the fact of becoming a father just hit home a min ago...First I smiled then I said Oh S***! Im not scared of fathering just dont know what to expect. I know its the best feeling but how do you get past the anxiety of it? Any advice on bettering my skills. Thanks

Hi, I am 23 yrs old and I've been with my bf for 6 yrs. So, far we live together nothing else. I always think about the future and having kids. And I get so scared and start having all these thoughts. Such as how do i know if I am punshing them right? If they want a pierceing is it ok (depending the age)? If they want to go to the movies with some friends should I let her/him? I feel like who's going to guide me thru this. I dont have kids so I dont know how it is to be a parent. I know you go learning with years but, it so scary. My aunt was so strict with my cousins that when they turned 18 they both left the house. And thats what I am scared of. That I am not a good parent and they hate me or that I am too nice and they take advantage. You as a parent how do you balance from being nice to being strict. And what rules do you set and example for your children?

i have a cousin who is going on bahamas air tommorow morning and she is going for her 10 month old baby boy to see his father but i ask you people to please send a prayer to god and ask him to let her through immagration to get into america she overed stayed her time in america and she came back home and now she is going back just for a month please send a prayer tonite or even now to god please!!!!! thank you from the sponsors of yahoo

I have a 14 month old (May 26, 2005) who is not walking yet. He will stand up against furniture, but won't walk when you hold his hands, and shows no interest in doing it himself. Is this bad? He was 5 weeks premature, and has shown respiratory problems (they think asthma) and has tubes in his ears from continual ear infections.

well it all started wen i was jus bout 2 start college i gt told i was goin wen i wasnt sure.after 1 yr i hated it an wantd to quit bt my mum wudnt let me so i had to stay on(bt i bunked all the time).she always told my sis 2 make sure i wen an 1 dy i had a panic attack coz my sis sed she wud punch me if i didnt go! an now i dont have a job coz im findin it realy hard to find 1 an she is treatin me like ****.jus coz i dont have a job i have 2 wash up an tidy an make my own dinner an my dad is always moanin 4 rent bt my bro has a job an he does nothin he has evrythin done 4 him like washin up his dinner cookd 4 him his clothes washd an my mum says he doesnt have 2 do any of tht stuff jus coz he has a job an he pays rent.an my mum goes out wiv my sis all the time an my mum gt spa treatment 4 her b'd an she is takin my sis an she neva takes me anywhere. an all they do is make me feel like **** like im worth nothin an they dont care bout me.is this wrong am i bein singled out. plz help

My sister in law called child protection on me for no reason!!! we had an argument over something completely unrelated and this b i t c h called child protection annimously knowing there was no reason to...even the man who came to see the house unexpectedly one tuesday morning who made me later for work as he went thru my cupboards and fridge to make sure there was food...who made me show him that my kids had plenty of clothes and a place to sleep...who examined toys and mademe show him all the kids soaps shampoos and lotions then apologized for wasting my time on what was obviously a waste of everyones time said there was no reason for him to be there...i swear to god i am gonna do something so horrible to her ...any suggestions???? she has 3 kids (14-12 and 10) and a boyfriend...i want her to lose all of them

Supose you are the father. Your birthday is tomorrow. Your son gives you today a touching bday gift and the weekly school report which is very bad ( 2 tests failed and behaivour complains) Normaly you would punish him severly for it. Will the touching gift make you not do that ?

He is retaking in summer school 3 subjects he failed . The bad report is due to not trying hard enough and just messing around

im gonna be a dad but in like, 8 months but still im really nervous. i dont know wat to do! last night i had a dream where i was taking care TWO babies! n i couldnt take care of them cuz they kept peeing everywhere! they wouldnt stop peeing!!!! it sounds stupid, but im freaking out.

My son is 3 years old. He goes to daycare while I go to work and plays with other children there but he has no one to play with at home (weekends). He has many cousins in my side of the family but we live far from them. We live near his father and his grandmother but there are no other children in their family. I try to be fun and take him places but I can tell that he is lonely. When we go to the park, he sits and looks at other kids play, the same when I take him to the pool or chuck e cheese. I have tried to invite his “friends” from daycare to the house but non of the parents have ever showed up.

What can I do to help my son find a friend who would visit and play with him at home? Is he to small for this kind of friends? Should I let him get his own friends? I don’t know what to do!
