To me spoiling a child is giving in to them so they stop screaming and throwing a tantrum.
I was told many times with my second baby that I spoiled him, no I didn't spoil him he just wanted me to hold him and no one else, it didn't bother me and I loved holding him to me I think they were just upset because he wouldn't let anyone else hold him. He's 8 now and surely doesn't want to be held and he knows if he wants something he has to work in order to get that it just doesn't get handed over to him.

We were riding our bikes when my 4 yr old needed to stop to rest. My 7 yr old daughter & her friend were ahead of us so I told them to stop. My daughter heard me & I heard her yell to her friend to stop. They did stop & I turned around to adjust my son's helmet. When I turned back around the girls were gone. I freaked out and went to look for them w/my son. We got back to the girls house (they weren't there) so I left my son there and went out to find them. They were on a street crying. It was dark by then so I got them home after telling them the horrors of doing this. Now I need to show my daughter the consequences of her actions. Is 1 week without playing with friends too long? Should we also include no TV? She normally watches about an hour a day.

I would be bringing my 2 yr old along so it would kinda be like a playdate. It would only be a few hours a nite. I know most daycares charge about $30 a day...but they have multiple children so they are still making profit. How much should I charge hourly?

There's this kid who is kind of a bully to my sons (and others) and my kids don't really like him much. However, our families have mutual friends, we have kids in the same grades and we do like the parents so we run into them a lot. The problem is that this kid (age 6) picks on mine (ages 9 & 6) until he makes them mad enough they fight back (sometimes. Sometimes they just try to get away from him).

Well yesterday my 9yr old & him were swimming at my neighbors (I was not there, didn't know the bully was). My son started playfully splashing the other boy and after a sec, didn't say stop, just started swinging at him. My neighbor is the one who called us to fill in the details. She says the other kid did not make contact while swinging, my son says he hit his eye, over his goggles. I tend to believe him. Well, my son got mad, swung back and gave the boy a bloody lip. He doesn't feel bad. Should I force him to apologize? We talked about not hitting but what else can we do?

What age should a child be before going to a movie theatre? My daughter is 2 1/2 and will watch a full movie with me at home. I'm thinking about taking her to see a children's show around 2pm. Does this seems like an appropriate age to go?

had a one night stand with a friend of mine, she is 41 and had a tubal 17 years ago and she was married and had regular sex for 16 yrs after the tubal. We had to much to drink and made out but I did not get off in her. I am worried she could get pregnant but she says I am nuts since she had a tubal 17 years ago and I pulled out. Should I be worried about this 1 time or Should I just get a grip and forget about it. BTW I dont want kids and I am having panic attacks from the worrying, and like I said she is not worried one bit and thinks I am nuts.

Every time I see this on TV I am strangely fascinated, like watching a train wreck. It seems to be about fashion and boys and ostracizing people that you don't like...
Is there something good about this show that I am missing?

my father has a mistress, they have a son.... and somehow my studies and my emotional health is affected.

i was depressed, i lost weight, practically i was a loner.

i try my best not to cry inside the classroom everytime i think of what they have done to me. and sometimes i feel like i am nothing.

i'm studying hard, i get good grades, but my father does not even look at it. he never learned how to appreciate.

i think i'm depressed most of the time. my avatar is the opposite of what i really feel inside.

one of them lifted up her arm and started yelling stop someone please stop. So, I did, luckly nothing was going on they said it was a joke. I got really worried. Im wondering if I should tell their parents what they are doing because really they could cause an accident and it's not funny at all. Next time I see them if they yell im not gonna stop but what if there really is something going on? Im not trying to get them in trouble but thats really dangerous right? Or should i just leave it alone and just blow it off?? These girls were like i would say 5-8. If these were your kids would you want to know they were doing this or is it no big deal?

I'm a stay-at-home mom to a 6 month old. She's just started freaking out when ever I leave her sight. She isn't even happy with her Daddy holding her. It has to be me. Any suggestions on how to at least get her to be okay with daddy while I try to cook dinner, go pee, etc?
