Take her to a hospital or a police station. Actually, your friend should had done that. Safe Haven laws (it's not yours, so it probably doesn't matter) stipulate that the child must be turned over in the first 30 days.
Also, DON'T drop it off at a church. It's not the 1800's anymore. It's illegal to drop a baby off at a church. Just like it was illegal to drop her baby off with you.
Best of luck to you in College, sorry about your friend, and I hope the baby's okay.

Call Social Services and let them know what happened. Talk to the child's mother and ask her what she thought she was doing. If she doesn't want the baby, bring her to a police station or hospital. Those are usually Safe Surrender places. Let them know what happened as well, and if you called Social Services, tell whoever you're delivering the baby to that you did so. Of course, only drop the baby off if Social Services gave you the okay when you called. And if you didn't call... well, surrender away. The child is not your responsibility. Of course, you can always adopt the baby if you want, but if it were that simple I'm sure you wouldn't be asking what to do.

Sounds like u need to get Social Services involved or take the child back to her mom, or some of her relatives letting her know the baby is not yours and you are not responsible for it.
