When my child talks back to me and it's just too much and I know that he knows better, I will pop him in the mouth. But, it is not often. I discipline in other ways also. Such as taking a favorite toy away and things like that. There is nothing wrong with keeping your kid in line, including physical punishment(only when necessary). People are afraid to admit that they have slapped or spanked their kids, because of society today. Well, look at society. What do you see? A bunch of out-of-control kids, is what I see. But, my children are not in the picture with the delinquents and they never will be as long as I do my job as a parent. So before anyone slams me for admitting that I have popped my child in the mouth, look at your own. Are they in the delinquent category?

Answer would you like to be slapped in the face ? NO
then you do not slap a child in the face . that is a form of abuse . and you will not get respect from them as they get older either

You should never slap your child in the face. It is an insult not a punishment. I have bopped my kid in the mouth for being sassy but never enough to cause any physical pains.

i dont believe in SLAPPING kids in the face. however, there are other ways to handle stuff like that, such as time out. besides, if someone knew you were doing that, you could lose your kids in a heartbeat so id watch what you say

I don't ,it is called assault.Spankings are one thing but slapping a child in the face is abuse!

when mine are sassy but it's more like a tap on the mouth I would never slap them in the face.

I don't have kids, but I will never do it.
There are better and more efective ways to teach your kids a lesson.
