stay at home mom with no car, I need help!

2006-07-28 09:44:18 · 7 answers · asked by sunistao 3

I have read a lot of negative comments from people about daycare and would like to point out that not all daycares are bad. I run an in-home daycare and the parents are very please with how their children are treated and all the fun activities they get to do. I have a great rapport with both the kids and parents. I understand that not everyone has had a positive experience with daycare and if given a choice I am sure many of you would stay home with your children, however that is not possible for some people. I had to have my son in an in-home daycare until I was able to open my own and absolutely loved my provider and so did my son. I am hoping that some of you have some positive stories about your childcare provider to share with everyone!
Thanks in advance for sharing your POSITIVE story with us!

My 2 boys (14 and 7) never put things back, don't do chores without being told, and then feel they are entitled to priviledges. I want to set up a merit/demerit system, but I am unsure of what they can earn merits for realistically.

My daughter is 6. My husband and I have been together since I was 2 months preg. When we got married my daughter had my name so she understood that when we got married we both got new names. We went through the adoption after the wedding. She believes god put her in my belly. SO without going into the whole birds and the bees I'm not sure when to explain it. Her school psychologist says as soon as possible. I want to tell her someday but wondered what other parents thought or have had expereience with? Bio father had alcohol, drug and anger managment issues so his not in picture at all!!! She only knows my husband as Daddy which is really what he is!!!

I see 18 year olds being treated like their 13, I see 15 year olds being treated like thier 10. I see 10 year olds being treated like they're 5. Kids today aren't being allowed to grow up. My theory is that maybe if we let our kids grow up then it means that we are getting old so we use our childrens youthfulness as our fountain of youth. I honestly don't accept the excuse that things are so dangerous nowadays, things are exactly as they were when I was growing up, we just know more about it now. What do you think?

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for over a year.We went to my GYN and I was told I had PCOS.I am taking Clomid,100mg along with metformin 850mg to help resile insulin and stimulate ovulation. Our last stop was to see a Reproductive Endrocrinologist who could be able to help us but since both of our insurance does not cover infertility,I was suggesting adoption.
I have been reaserching on this and found some good sites but my question is:What is some good adoption services my husband and I can look into and what procedure we will need to go through adoption

Let’s say you are a first time mother, and you have to work.

You have to work 6.5 hours a day Monday thru Friday.

You have a small infant that will be watched by his/her grandma while you are at work.

What schedule would you pick AND why?

7:30am to 2pm

OR

11:30am to 5pm

PLEASE ONLY ANSWERS FROM PEOPLE WHO KNOW WHAT I AM DEALING WITH.
I have a 1 1/2 and a 2 1/2 yrs old boys. They have become a real challenge. They are not bad boys, but they are giving me a run for my money. I am pregnant with boy number 3. I feel like I am going to lose my mind. Does it get easier. Right now, we are in the "copycat" phase. When they are seperate, they are great listeners..but together is another story. Right nowmy challenge is bed time. I asked a question a while ago about bed times, and got a lot of great suggestions... tried them all..none succesful. right now the oldest is in a seperate room, and i had to put locks on the doors, to keep them seperate. The locks freak the oldest out so i dont lock him in his room, just lock the other door so he wont disturb his brother. It is still a huge challenge. Any ideas?

By the time she was done explaining things to me, I understood perfectly that babies came into the world through our bellybuttons. A few months later, when our cat was getting ready to have kittens, she mentioned that the time must be close because the cat's hips were widening. I asked why that mattered if they were going to come out her bellybutton. She laughed and said, "honey, they have to come out the same place they went in!" I was totally confused by that time, but she bragged for years about how she'd explained it all to me and hadn't needed a book or anything. LOL

She hardly ever bathes him. Everytime he comes to my house, he smells pissy. She complains if my parents or my sister gives him a bath. We have to lie and say he messed his clothes, because we don't want to be like, "he's stink". Help Please!!!!
