What would your DAD say was the best advice he'd ever given you?

My dad told me to enjoy life and always be able to take care of myself.

One of my friend's dad was more funny. When she went off to college, his only advice was, "If anyone offers you a mint...always take it! You never know!" lol

To not join the army when I found out my draft number was 18, which meant I'd be drafted and was thinking about enlisting to get a field that would keep me away from being infantry.
Marine Corps, he didn't take it quite well, but after time he did as I was in the airwing and stayed out of Vietnam.

when I was young and rebellious towards my father my uncle gave me this little beauty, " when I was 17 I thought my father was the dumbest man I ever met....when I was 25 I was amazed at how much he learned in so short a time" how true it was, I've never forgotten it!
