By the time she was done explaining things to me, I understood perfectly that babies came into the world through our bellybuttons. A few months later, when our cat was getting ready to have kittens, she mentioned that the time must be close because the cat's hips were widening. I asked why that mattered if they were going to come out her bellybutton. She laughed and said, "honey, they have to come out the same place they went in!" I was totally confused by that time, but she bragged for years about how she'd explained it all to me and hadn't needed a book or anything. LOL

I am nearly 50 years old now, and have grown kids of my own. I think its funny that the only Guy to answer this women's question felt that he had to explain to me how my body works. LOL.

LOL yeah, my mom did the same thing with me. She claims she had the entire talk with me in extreme detail. What she really did was hand me this book that had virtually NO information whatsoever. I found it all out on my own (always been good at research lol)

My mom explained a lot - I never really had any questions per se.
I am fully engaged with my kids, 2 and 4. The only part we haven't fully addressed is how mommy and daddy physically plant the seed in the belly - that will come later - and thank goodness the question hasn't really come up...yet.

My mother explained things perfectly to me everytime I asked. Whenever babies came up , wether I was 2 or 10, she described it the same way.. eventually I understood it.. and never had to wonder why she lied about it.

Well my mom never said that she explained it to me and she didn't. In fact, noone ever really explained it to me and so I was horrified when I got my period even though both of my older sisters had theirs. I had a friend in school that started in the middle of the day. Apparently, her mother never explained it to her either because she freaked out thinking she had ripped her butt while pooping. It wasn't until many years later that I realized what really happened to her.

My mother never explained anything to me. I learned what little I knew from school and evidently wasn't paying close enough attention. I was pregnant by the time I was 16.

My mother never explained to me about anything to do with the reproductive system or anything about where baby's come from. I learned It all from my cousin who was 2 years older then me, I think that the only reasons that mothers don't explain about the body Is b/c they never had anyone explain It to them, b/c my mom learned about the reproductive system and where baby's came from through her oldest sister my aunt. =^..^=

Maybe you were not paying attention while she was talking, or asking any questions, at least she tried!
Some mothers do not care enough to even try to explain what is happening to their daughters body.
Count your blessings if you had a Mother that loved you enough to try!

Why do you're able to desire to tell her? in simple terms gown the way you like and be happy. This gender queer subject is a clean theory to me and that i'm lesbian. I continuously in simple terms figured i grew to become right into a "tomboy" and left the label at that. There are too many labels those days. in simple terms be you and forget all the names and labels. That confuses us older human beings ha ha

No, My mom was out of the picture and my dad raised me. My DAD explained it...
Anyway my sister (who is just 9 months older) and I were convinced when we were twelve, mind you, that we could get pregnant by doing NOTHING at all. We would just be with child our lives ruined, no future, if we liked a boy....dad once said to my sister and myself that we were not as pretty as our other sister. he asked us why we weren't pretty.
Needless to say, we never dated until we got to college and out of the house.

now shy was shy in telling what really happens they don't come out of the belly button nor do they go in its not like that, they are produced in the women's womb (uterus).they are produced when the male sperms fertilize the female egg, and that happens when they have sex
and the baby comes out from the female sex organ the virgina.
