Parenting - July 2006

I am a single mom with one child and one on the way. I recently posted a question and recieved several very helpful answers which I am extremely greatful for. But there is one answer that really bothers me...Use a condom! To whom it may concern I was on birth control and I just happen to have gotten pregnant. I am the better person for taking responsibility for my actions. I have raised my child to the best of my knowledge and will continue to do the same. If someone would be so kind to let me know why are people so quick to judge.

My wife and I are really thinking about only having one child. We are not sure if we are the kind of people that want more that one. But all of our good friends are working on #2 and 3. Our little girl is only 3 months.

the room is a complete disater. she threw everything out of her closet and onto the floor and now she will not clean it up unless everyone else does it for her. and she has kind of a bad bad temper and most likely will just throw a temper tantrum just to get her way. how should i deal with this 'problem child' and make her learn to clean her own room? also know that she is in her teens about to go on to high school.. help! how can i make this badd habit stop?!?!

SHe of course never matches and I usually dont mind but should i be telling her that she doesnt match and trying to help her with this? Or do I let her be and the matching will come in time. I dont want to hurt her confidence....Any advice or been there done thats?

she vary much and daddy lil girl,but she dose like to see me hug or pick up other kids. i just dont want her to be mean too the lil one. do the has some classes maybe i could take her too to help with this?

end the party? The little girl was 7 or 8 years old and was a guest. She had bent over to pet the dog, and it jumped up and bit her. There was screaming, some bleeding, and much chaos. The younger kids (2, 3, and 4 years old) didn't seem to understand what was going on. Her parents took her to the doctor right away. After the biting, the hosts secured the dogs in its enclosure. Turns out, the dog had bitten an adult in the past.

PS I did my part by keeping the upset parents (hosts) away from the kids. I didn't want the little kids to get scared. Another parent got the party rolling again with the opening of presents. Cake had not been served. No games had been played.

What would you have done?

My kids and husband expect everything to be done for them and if its not done to what they expect they run me down infront of friends and family im at my wits end someone please head me in the right direction so I dont have a breakdown.

My husband's brother's daughter is pregnant and she is only 12!! Her father dosen't have custody of her and she lives with her grandparents (he tried to get custody but couldn't)..My question is how could they let her do whatever she wanted and can't the state pick up on that as to show that they are unfit people to even be raising a kid?

This wouldn't of happened if she would have been living with her father but they made him out to be like he was unfit (which is untrue) but will that kill a little girl like that giving birth to a baby? She is so little and no one knows who got her pregnant cause she won't tell anyone but she was not raped or molested..

What do you all think?

I'm 25, my wife is 20. We just had a house built, and have two new cars...right now we are living pretty much paycheck to paycheck with only a little extra left over...so how do you know when you are financially ready to have children? okay, I am a first time mom. I have a 16-month old daughter and she is "discovering" her body. I don't no how to react when she starts discovering those private- covered -by -the -diaper -area. Heck I don't even know what or how I should refer to that area of her body. HELP! any suggestion.
