My young daughters are already beginning to judge themselves by others standards at the fragile ages of 7 and 8. They are both very tall and very bright. In a world of television and inactivity how can I instill a healthy self image in them? Something that gives them girl power!

Ok, my friend was using my ID the other night and she must have asked some questions. I therefore don't understand why people have to go and call me "the shepard who cried wolf." Thats not very fair. I share this one with my friend, so don't go around calling people names without knowing the facts. Who else gets this on here? people calling you names that is. or answering unfairly. So yeah I help my friend out who was kicked out of home coz she was pregnant, that does happen you know.

I have a 9 year old step son when I introduce him to people I don't know what to say because I feel if I say this is my step son he will feel like I don't claim him but if I say this is my son then he'd feel like I'm trying to replace his mother. Ive been with this kid since he was 18 months and its just starting to be a issue ( more with his mother) I ask him what he wants me to say and he dosent let me know/

My husband will be bringing his 3 kids home for 2 weeks this summer. They are 14, 11 and 9. He doesn't get to see them often, so when he does, he lets them do anything they want. That includes talking to him hateful, being rude and being lazy (not making them clean up after themselves, etc.). I don't approve of this and don't want 3 unruly kids in my home for 2 weeks. How do I make him see that he HAS to provide some structure and discipline when he has them? (He thinks they "won't like him" if he makes them mind.)

Everytime I go to the store with my 5 month old son, he starts crying/whinning...i do everything. to try to make him happy.and he will be happy for a minute and whines or cries again. It drives me crazy. I have to rush out of the store everytime i go with him, get the bare essentials and leave..i can't browse like i did when my daughter was his age. what is up with that? i can hardly take him anywhere! i can't even take my daughter to the park without him starting his crap..i can't even read a magazine at the park cuz if i don't be up in his face the whole time, he gets "pissed"

My husband and I have been married for almost 6 years and our daughter just turned one on saturday....maybe it is just a stage...but she does not want him to do anything with her other than play...she looks to me for all her "NEEDS"....is it because he didn;t spend alot of time with her as an infant and she just views him as a friend or what??? I am not complaining...I would just like some help every once in a while!!! I cant even take a shower without putting her in there with me!!! Is seperation anxiety?? I work full time too!!!

My babies are on Prosobee with Lipil and have been since they've been home because they can't tolerate anything else. It's getting close to their first birthday and they will be able to drink regular milk. My oldest son had no problems with what he drank like the twins, but I forgot how I weened him from formula to milk because it's been awhile (my oldest is almost 3 years old). Can someone tell me how they weened their child from formula to milk?

My husband works in Iraq and he only gets a short vacation this summer. He's bringing his 3 kids home for 10 days. He wants me to get TVs for their rooms...I don't agree that kids should even have TVs in the rooms, but is it really necessary for only 10 days?

In school, my health teacher said something about it being proven that babies who drink their moms milk are smarter than the rest of us who drank regular bottles? I asked my mom and she did feed me just regular bottles. I do good in school, I get A's and B's and am going to be in the 8th grade tis summer and I did great on all the state tests, 97% in most of them. How am I dumb? That hurts my feelings because all my teachers thinks I am very bright and capable. My mother gave me permission to ask this on this website.

Don't you realize that children that young don't belong in grocery stores, restaurants or movie theatres? First of all, they don't want to be there, and the rest of us deserve better than having to put up with them everywhere we turn.

Can't you shop online, order takeout or rent a DVD if you can't find a babysitter?

But for some reason they let anybody, anywhere, anytime be a parent...no limit!!!???Shouldnt there be a test or a contract???At least a secret handshake???Or a brand we could use on the foreheads of the "unfit"(after three stamps-we take away your baby-maker!!!) Maybe instead of "AIMS"testing in public schools they should have parenting and child testing-if you can't be a good child- and you can't be a good parent- what is the use of knowing how to read and write -when all you want to do is mutiply???
