But for some reason they let anybody, anywhere, anytime be a parent...no limit!!!???Shouldnt there be a test or a contract???At least a secret handshake???Or a brand we could use on the foreheads of the "unfit"(after three stamps-we take away your baby-maker!!!) Maybe instead of "AIMS"testing in public schools they should have parenting and child testing-if you can't be a good child- and you can't be a good parent- what is the use of knowing how to read and write -when all you want to do is mutiply???

Hi,

Here in UK you do not need a license to be a dog, either literally or metaphorically, you just are one.

This same question has been around for centuries. I agree. As a childcare provider I must pass a background check, a physical, a TB test and be fingerprinted. I must also take continuing education classes in child development, nutrition, behavior, etc. But there isn't the slightest regulation on being a parent. Well, at least not until someone gets "caught" doing something wrong.

Read the constitution. Yeah the government makes you get a permit for some things, as a means of regulating things, but to regulate a persons right to reproduce? There are a lot of parents who are unfit or do things to there kids that seem really unfair or just a little unfair. I think when technology gets a little better that may just happen though.

The only way for humanity to survive with any dignity, is to reduce the World population to 2 billion people. How might that be accomplished? Easy, don't allow religious fundamentalists, People who say "Ya'll", "Impordant" instead of important and anyone who uses "Whatnot", to ever breed again.
Of course we need to limit population and the best way is to limit every couple to one child. In an effort to end other problems, we should ensure the widest possible dispersal of genetic material to erase "ethnic differences". People who are unusually advanced could be allowed to have more children just to improve the stock.

LMAO!!! You are hilarious!! However, you also have an excellent point. I will put it to you this way, any idiot can easily get a drivers license. They do not even need to read to be able to get one!! (how are they expected to read road signs??!) No brains required!! Needless to say, there is an idiot born every second, and every one of them gets a driver's license! Scary, huh? Here's something scarier ... every one of them also breeds 5 more idiots just like them!!! I'm totally with you on this one!

The only thing that I can figure is that they are too selfish to think about the consequences of their actions, or they are too stupid to care. Either way it's the kid(s) that suffer.
