Where is an appropriate place to take a newborn in So Fla?

My good friend, husband and newborn are coming here to south florida to visit. Can I take them to the beach? I suppose going to the bar is out.

it is okay to take a baby to the beach but make sure it is protected from the sun (sun screen). I know when I had my kids and I lived in South Flroida my babies loved the water but I didn't have them out for long periods of time either.

Make sure the newborn is protected from sun glare off the water, or it'll get a bad sunburn.
