buy brand names like gymboree or gap (sales only) but my friends think I am crazy. Cheap stuff falls apart to easy.

My son is 20 1/2 months old and stays up til 11:30. He takes a 2 hour sometime 3 hour nap everyday. I have to wake him up around 8:45 every morning to take him to my sister's house where I watch her kids. Is he getting enough sleep? How much sleep should kids get at that young age get???

See he is there for us financially, we live together. He insists that he does not know how to raise babies. One night I was really sick in the bathroom instead of taking care of our daughter her brought her there to me. I have asked for his help repeatidly, and it does no good. I feel so frustrated at times has anyone else had to deal with this, and how did you cope?

How can i stop my child from whining. I tried the ignoring, the time outs, the holding, the seperation, the corner. I'm at a loss. He is just so sesitive that I can't do any thing without him yelling in my face.

My 3 year old Son Christian hates butter, the smell of it makes him gag and sometimes vomit. He even screams on the top of his lungs when butter is around even when i buy it. Will he grow out of this, does he really hate it or is he just convinsed that he HATES it? Does or anyone had this problem.

Well, I have a dilemma...LOL. The chicken my hubby took out for me needs to bake for 60-75 minutes. Do I fry it up (bone in), so that we can go to the pool before bedtime, or do I bake it and chill at home? No, I won't leave it in the oven while we're swimming! The pool is in our townhome complex, not in the backyard! LOL! Which would you do? My hubby's not home until 9:30 tonight and the kids are usually in bed around 8pm.

yeah she may not be mother of the year or nothing, but every young mother makes mistakes with their kids and in their marriages. thats pretty much what makes them a good parent and role model to their kids later. i think you have to go through something to grow in the physical and emotional sides of things. i think slamming her for not being the greatest parent is only making things harder for her and leaving a bigger toll on her marriage.

Our local news today has the story of a 6 year old girl who died while riding a go-cart on her family's many acres of property.She ended up in a pond and was not found for 20 minutes.How tragic.What in the hell were the parent's thinking??I have 4 children,ages 7,11,12,and 15--and I think that the parents should be arrested for negligence!Do you agree?

I'm 24 and i have a 3 year old. I had a million and one complications during my first pregnancy as well as my labor (and ended up with a c-section anyways). I'm kinda scared of having another one since I really got sick the first time around but i don't want to leave my daughter lonely. Any suggestions??

I watch a little girl for a friend of mine from 6:30 am to 6:oopm for $25.00 a week.She is 8 yrs old she lives with her dad because the state took her from her mom.She has become very hatefull, very demanding,she tells people we r very mean to her. Her dad asked me to keep her because he knows i'll take care of her and she has lots to do here and he doesn't have to worry about her.i know that he is strugling so its 5 dollars a day just to cover what she eats.I love this child i realy do.Because of how she was treated with her mom he wants to handle any problems that accure.He doesn't even want me to put her in time out because thats his little girl.she told my daughter today "that no one in this house cares about you so shut up"my daughter got very upset and she is 13 after she said it she was walking threw the house laughing.I have never had to deal with anything like this before i think she needs help.How can i help her.

My hubby's EX is being acting wrong in several ways with their kid, first she agree that their boy (10yrs) will come & spend summer with us but she wanted for my hubby 2 drive 15hrs 2 pick him up after a decition we went to pick his son but she was not home we were there the for 8 hours then she called & say she forgot she was out of town too, then after a week trying 2 find her on the phone she said it was okay for the boy 2 go on the plane we bought a round trip w/ secirity for child ticket & gave her confiramtion # & flyight # but she didn't tooke the boy & cuz we didn't cancel on time the ticket was lost, after another week of calling & calling with no answer she just told my hubby that he will never see his son again & that he allready know that his dad didn't want him over the summer, which is not true. My hubby is concerned & worried ,Can he fight to get custody? or What should be a better way to fix this,?He is a very father of 3, he doesn't want his son 2 be more hurt!!!

My husband and I tried to go see pirates of the carribean-dead man's chest last night with my sleeping 9 month old and the lady said she had to charge me and full price cause it was a first viewing. Does that sound right? Has anyone else had to do that? We walked out because i'm not paying $7 for my baby to sleep through a movie...

my father left when i was 1 yrs old and we keep in touch alot and my mom and him are cool now and stuff, but i only see him once a year in the summer and he wants me to live with him for my junior year of highschool and i really wanna get to kno him and my other lil brother, but my mom is taking the longest time deciding if i can go. she said that she wants to make sure i go to church and keep god in my life b/c my dad walked away from god but my dad likes that i go to church, and we keep tellin her ill go to church but besides the religion she wuld say yes, i tried everything we talk all the time about it and she has to make a desicion real soo b/c skool starts soon.
