When I say parents - I can mean both biological parents or people the biological parents are dating after the child is born. (I have seen some information out there that it doesn't make much difference, but all I seem to find are the articles that say the parents must be married)

I am 7 months pregnant with my first child. My boyfriend and I are are both Taoist. His parents are Lutheran and my father and his wife are southern baptist to an extreme pushy level... We want our daughter to be able to make up her own mind about religion without early influence from either of our parents or anywhere at that. My dad makes my sister's kids pray before dinner and if they dont, they don't eat, which I strongly disagree with. I don't want to put down relgion it is just not for us and may not be for our child either. How do I ask them to leave thier beliefs out of the time they spend with our child?

Have any of you monitored what your children do in chat rooms? I was on one the other day, just watching because my 13 year old son has been complaining that I don't let him in chatrooms like "All the other kids" so I told him I'd check one out and get back to him.

While I was there a 42 year old man, who was stupid enough to keep his age in his profile, was asking a 12 year old little girl some really inappropriate questions.

I know this is more of a statement than a question but I want to let you all know that you really need to watch them when they're in chatrooms. Just because it says teen chatrooms doesn't mean just teenagers go there.

I am so tired of girls having sex with their boyfriends and then when mommy and daddy find out they call the police and have the guy arrested for statutory rape. This law should be defined better. I'm so tired of the girls not stepping up and being honest. I have 3 boys ( 9,3, and 4 months) and I already worry that some girl is gonna pull that crap with my kids. Does anyone know of people in this situation and how did it turn out???

My ex-girlfriend had her last menstruation about 3 weeks ago, the last time we had sex was about 2 weeks ago and I didn't came inside of her at all, we broke up the next day and she recently called me and told me that she is pregnant. Is that possible? I mean how can she actually know if she is pregnant within 2 weeks??? Her period is not due for about another week...I've heard that she needs to wait for her period to come and if it doesn't then maybe she is pregnant. I don't know if she is just making it up so I get back with her..I don't think its possible for her to know if she pregnant within 2 weeks of doing it...PLEASE HELP...she has been calling me all sort of things for not believing that she is pregnant...I NEED YOUR HELP ASAP!!!!!!!!

Other than Ebay and Birthday Express. I tried ebay and they have actual rubber duckies and candy wrappers but no plates/napkins/cups etc... And I can't afford Birthday Express.

Any other ideas for me?!
Has anyone seen them at a store that you can recall?

I'd drive around town and look but our car is broke down right now so that is not an option for me!

TIA for any help! I want to do this theme for my daughters 1 year birthday! (Hence why its posted in parenting--- didnt know where else I could post it!)

My ex and I share legal custody of our 10 yr old daughter. I have full physical custody. He has a habit of popping in and out of her life when it's easy for him to be a "dad". Never calls, sends e-mails infrequently.

Then out of the blue he wants to take her for the weekend. I told him he's welcome to stay with me on the couch. He said that was great and came. Promised her he would see her again the next month. He never came. Called and told her that he will be here in July for the weekend. Again - didn't come.

Now I'm beyond angry. What I want to is to go back to court and get sole custody. We currently share the legal custody and I have full physical.

I also want to write a letter telling him that this is the last time he will do this. That he will NOT talk to her and tell her he's coming only to bale - again on her. But I don't think that is enough...

What would you suggest I do? I can't let my anger get the best of me, but she deserves the best!!

I took my last question off cause you all were judging me because of what I wrote. I'm not a cruel person. I was simply stating that there has to be away to make teens think about the consequences of sex and having a baby.....then they will get on birthcontrol. I didn't know you all were so judgemental! Gosh, I'll just go now and never come back!

I have caught my daughter and her cousin playing "doctor" a couple times. Both times I have told them that it is "nasty" and "not appropriate". I tried not to make it a huge deal, but Im so confused as to handle the situation. As a little girl I remember playing games like that with another little girl across the street. We would kiss eachother and touch eachother in private areas. We knew what we were doing was wrong because if someone happened to walk in we would lie about it. Which is now what my daughter is doing, except I have not caught the kissing or touching. I have just walked in to have one child with no underwear on. I am really scared that she may have been molested when she was younger by a babysitter or daycare provider. I dont remember being molested as a child but I have questioned my daughter and she tells me no one is touching or has touched her. I m not sure I believe her though. Is this normal for her age or should I consult a professional.

Should I just lay down the law and say it's because I say so because she has to listen anyway, or should I try to get her to understand my reasoning? If I try to reason with her then what if she doesn't understand,or disagrees then what? Does that mean she has a say so as to whether or not she can do it or not?
