She'll be ready for some pampering soon. I'd get her a gift certificate for a spa, a manicure and pedicure, or a hair cut. Something that's totally for HER.

If your on a budget, go to Walmart and get an umbrella stroller. I just bought one and spent under 11 dollars. It is so cute, with Winnie the Pooh. I have a girl this was a unisex one, but they have others.
Another thing, buy her a scrapbook, they run about $40 for a kit. It will be a gift that keeps on giving.
Wanna spend more? Ditgital camera for baby..
Safe bet: Diapers never go out of style and WILL be used. Don't get the newborn size, get a size 2, or 3. Alot of newborns don't wear those tiny diapers for more than a week or so, and most people will buy the smaller sizes.
A hanging mobil: They are soooooo nice, and makes the baby feel comfortable in her crib. The music is soothing, gives mom a small break...runs about $40.
I wish I had a price range, then I could be more helpful.

Yes, you should get your sister and your new nephew a gift. I'm sure she needs tons of stuff, so that part won't be hard. But since you're his aunt, you want to get something memorable, too.
If she doesn't have a baby book yet, that would be good, especially if you were to volunteer to keep it up for her. Because you know she'll have her hands full and it'll be harder for her.
But those babybooks, kids love sitting down with them when they are a little older. My son, about age 7, started asking to see the book at every birthday. He's 15 and still got it out this year too! I can just picture you, his aunt, sitting down with your nephew in maybe 10 years and going over all the babybook stuff again...like a tradition!

get her a few nice outfits for her baby. But don't get newborn outfits. Chances are, thats what everyone else is going to get her. Buy her something for when her baby gets a bit older, because thats when all of those other presents won't fit anymore and she'll have to buy new clothes. A few nice outfits for a 1 year old will come in quite handy. Just make sure to explain that thats why you got the bigger sizes so she doesn't think youre a moron lol

get her some pampering items just for her. candles, lotion, foot cream, bath stuff, a book that she would like to read, a cushion for her neck, things like that. then watch the baby for her while she relaxes, and it would be nice to give her a coupon book for once a month or every two weeks for a repeat of you watching the baby for her while she is allowed to tune everything out for just a bit! Get something for the baby too, but giving her something for herself will give her the feeling that she is not now just an extension of the baby (who by the way will get plenty of stuff), but that you value her as a sister and a friend as well. She needs to keep her self-esteem, and showing her you think of her so highly will help. (women do get a bit of blues sometimes after the birth of a child). And - be there for her whenever she needs you, and she will. Congrats Auntie!

You're a wonderful sister to buy her a gift. Flowers are always good for someone who had a baby. Or some baby clothes or toys might be fun. Or you could get her a gift certificate to her favorite clothing store. When you have a baby, you usually change sizes and need some new clothes.

Maybe a scrapbook that you help keep up.
A couponbook that you make full of babysitting for free coupons, and some for doing laundry or givig the baby baths, just thing to help her out.
A box ofdiapers or an outfit in a larger size so the baby can grow into it.
Or maybe a trinket box that you decorate to put the babies momentos in, with a picture frame to match.

I've heard that they are hungry after giving birth a milk shake or a blizzard from DQ would help, and being there to help sis out is the best gift you could ever give her.
