they have to much power and we allow it to happen, they dont care for the children, the only thing they care for is the money it brings back to them to steal more kids from families who love them. what makes them tell parents how to raise their children. most of them dont even have any kids. what is our society coming to anymore? there is a big difference in abusing a child and disaplining a child to keep them from harming themselves.

Why do people, even complete stangers, feel that it is within their right to ask parents of only children why they are not having more kids? I think that is a very personal question, as many people have medical reasons or otherwise that are private...and many people bring it up in front of the child, too. Have you ever asked or been asked?? What do you think about this issue?

My son is 9 years old and he is constantly trying to set things on fire. He will do it anywhere from outside to inside the house. One night I woke up cause I could smell something burning, I went downstairs the smell was coming from my daughters room, where my son had slept that night. My daughter was sleeping upstairs. My son was not in there when I entered, but her garbage can was full of ashes from papers he was burning. Then last night I went upstairs to check on him and my other son and the bathroom stunk like smoke. I found pieces of toilet paper where the corners had been burnt. I do not know how to brake him of this, but it is scary to know that your child is playing around with fire. I have tried grounding him to his room, taking everything out except his bed and dresser. Everything I have tried does not seem to work. Does anyone have any advice on what I could possibly do with him?

I grew up with some people who were such rebels. they laughed at their parents, said they'd never get fat, and hated their parents personalities. Yet, those people have become the same boring, fat, losers as their parents were. Why?

Stop making excuses for your child's misbehavior. He/she doesn't need drugs, he/she needs your love and attention! Such parents are more concerned with playing the role of good parents to their friends than they are about their children's feelings. You weren't raised on drugs and you turned out fine, why be so quick to jump the gun and take the easy route of conceding that you have no patience with your kids and pump them with drugs. Good luck living with a clean conscience, you must know you're destroying the natural growth of your childs' minds. Your kind rank amongest the most detestable Americans in our long, blessed history.
