My 15 year old son keeps his room clean, does his own laundry, and is responsible to clean that litter box.
Sometimes I have him help with other stuff,
moving furniture for me to vacuum, taking out the garbage,
basic helping me.
He has had chores since he was very little,
it started with little things like making his bed or putting napkins at all the places for dinner as a toddler, progressing as he got older and more responsible.

I have an 8 year old, his chores throughout the week consist of taking the trash out and keeping his room clean. He does a good job, I think because I do not overload him with chores. I also have a 6 year old, his chores consist of putting the dishes away that I have loaded into the dishwasher and also keeping his room clean. As for my 4 year, she needs to keep her room clean. She will usually ask me to do a chore and that is when I give her an old sock and she will do some dusting. They all help to put any toys away that have made their way to the living room throughout the day as well. Hope this helps you.

My daughter is only 9. She doesn't have much to do, but I do
make her pick up after her self. She cleans the bath room sink.
She throws away the trash, sometimes she washes her own
dishes ( 1 spoon or fork, 1bowl or plate, 1 cup or glass. I do the
rest. she helps me with the laundry ( when she is out of school)
And as she gets older I'll give her more chores. But we do share
the chores. Some times I have her clean the toilet. And once I had her clean the tub. The only reason I don't like her doing the
tub is because she still short and you really have to get on your knees to clean, so I decided to wait until she gets a little taller.
Oh ya her birds, Her and I will take turns feeding and changing
the water and clean out the bird cage. Vacuum the birds mess.

My son's 8 months old, so right now his chore list is limited to the physical therapy excercizes he has to do. When he's 2 or 3 I'll probably make a picture list of things like picking up his toys and putting his dishes in the sink.

Lets see, my son is four and what I did is take a poster board and put the days of the week on it and then write down what chores he has on that day. At the end of the day he will get a star
for every chore he does. At the end of the week he will get a big sticker if he gets at least 5 stars. After 2 weeks if he has 2 big stickers he get a prize. ( I also add extra stickers for extra chores) That earns and extra prize.
It really works, he will get atleast 2 prizes every month if he does it.
Things I have him do is everyday he will make his own bed. One day maybe vacuum his room. Set the table, wash off the table, and sweep the floor. Also yard work. Little things, and of course you might have to go behind him/her after to do it again, but they are so happy they did it......

I have 2 kids..ages 6 and 9. They have had chore lists before and it worked pretty good at first. They would get small rewards for doing their chores. I have found it easier just to get them to help everyday by doing small things, like making their beds, emptying the trash, setting the table..etc. They know they are expected to help and for the most part they do a good job.

My son is 9 years old and yes he has a chore list, clean litter box, feed cat, clean room, brush teeth. If he doesn't have this he would do nothing and with the chore list I still have to fight with him to do it. So I told he doesn't get paid for his chores until he can do them without crying and some days he doesn't do them at all.

Yeah, I'm 17 and I have a chore list...blech. I have to make my bed, clean the rabbit cage, set the table, load the dishwasher, fold a load of clothes, and take out the trash.
My little bro is 13 and he has to check the mail, clear the table, make his bed, and empty the dishwasher.
We both get allowance every two weeks though...so if you are gonna give your kid a chore list you should probably give a little bit of allowance.

Chore's are OK but lists suck. I only started to make lists now because I am a busy person. I don't have kids or anything I'm just saying I find lists and schedule's to be very annoying.
