Ok....childrens sizes first start off with "months" sizes..then we move on to "toddler" sizes..which gives way to the 4-6x sizes that you are speaking of..some stores like jcpenney have slims for very petitie children..kids that have a slimmer build (like my girls) so that is what the slim is for..you will see 4 slim 5 slim and 6 slim..then you can see either just 4, 5, 6 or 4 regular 5 regular and 6 regular...which just means they arent "slim"...then there is that mysterious 6X....which is generally the size inbetween 6 and 7...but now a days with the added sizes of slim and plus 6X hasnt been all that necessary...once your child gets out of that 4-6X sizing you have the 7-14 and you again have the slim, regular, and plus...or there are always those half sizes..which arent really plus sizes but they do have a bit more in the waist area..where is plus sizes have extra room all over...Levis and Old Navy offer half sizes for children who need a bit more room in the tummy...JCpenney is now offering plus sizes for toddlers now as well..UGH it can get pretty complicated....But in terms of the 6X it is simply a size that is a bit bigger than a 6 but not as big as a 7..you will see that a lot of stores have done away with it and they do 4, 5/6, and then 6X which just means 4, 5, 6 or small medium and large....UGH again...Hope this helps you out....

on the prospect sounding redundant, the 'T' does stand for toddler. so a procedures because the shirts bypass, there is no longer a lot large difference. yet for pants... 24 months are going to consider a diaper, 2T received't.
