Anyone know what might cause her to continue doing this past the normal age, and what I can do to help her quit or should I just let it go.

My 18 month old son still breastfeeds- in addition to regular food. He mostly nurses when I pick him up from the baby sitters in the afternoon, and then when it is time to go to sleep at night. He also wakes up once a night, usually around the same time, to be nursed back to sleep. I was breastfed by my mother until I was 2 1/2, and I beleve that we have such a good relationship because of the closeness I endured during the breastfeeding. So far, I have enjoyed a similar closeness with my son. I have attempted to stop nursing, but have found that our (my son and I) life is much easier without such an abrubt change. I would like him to wean himself, when he is ready, but my husband thinks I should stop now. And it's not like I nurse him in public anymore, only in the privacy of our home, due to stares of onlookers who have their own opinions!!!

Thoughts???

what happend to men going to work and providing for the family and women staying home to raise their kids the right way.. unless your a single mom (to whom i give props to, cuz my mom did it) why wouldnt you want to raise your kids yourself instead of some stanger who could damage your kid.. what happend to having dinner ready when your husband got home? i dont know about you but i am hoping for that when i get married.. any thoughts?

I'm due in a month and I'm washing ALL my baby's clothes for the first time. I was thinking that I would seperate her clothes by color, because I was thinking since they are new clothes, the colors might bleed. Do I have to seperate them or can I throw them in altogether?

I said I would never allow the TV as a babysitter, but I sometimes turn on Sesame Street for my 7 mos. old, as a distraction. Basically, I just want to get some house work done.

I'm especially interested to hear from people whose children are grown, since they have a perspective on the whole process.

when they find out I am married or that I plan to get pregnant next year. I just say, "No, I am a grown adult, thanks."

How do I respond?

They assume I am a teen and pass judgements on me.

I am a grown woman with a house, career and a college education! I am MARRIED and planning a baby at 24 and people look at me like I am a child.

Does anyone get this attitude? When you became pregnant or got married did you get judged?

I don't know what to say to him without flat out telling him that the world is a different place now and that way of life is impossible now due to pollution, laws and property lines. Which I also can't put it into words that he'll understand. He's too young to understand what pollution and property lines mean...

If evolution is true, how come mothers only have 2 hands instead of four. With the great demands of being a mother, 2 hands is definitely not enough. What do you think?
