a touchy issue. i've been a counsellor for sex offenders and they have a right to live where they want to live; however, not all are ready to live in the neighborhoods without supervision....and hopefully some counselling

Many of these laws have been in place for an extended period of time, before 'the whiners' commited their crimes. Whether or not they knew the law is not anyone's problem but their own. They should have known what was at stake, and what the consequences would be.

I don't care if the sex offender raped a child or meerly showed him/herself in public. Those are not the morals I want my child exposed to, and am therefore in full support of all laws which restrict sex offenders from living anywhere near children.

Research shows that, in general, sex offenders cannot be rehabilitated. These restrictions need to be in place, for the sake of the community, but also to help those offenders: the less temptation, the better.

As a mother I am concerned about sex offenders living not only near my children's bus stop but anywhere near my children, PERIOD. I am thankful for Megan's Law and I highly doubt it will be abolished no matter how many sex offenders cry about it.

I have a concern about sex offenders living. I believe child molesters should receive the death penalty. They have screwed up some poor child's life, why should we let them live to ruin another one? When you rape a child, losing all basic rights doesn't sound harsh enough to me.

sex offenders are criminals and we may say that they are not human. There should not be any human right for them. Any one identified as sex offender have to be punished, heavily punished. They have no reason to be concerned.
