I have one in daycare. I pay $75 per week during the school year. $150 for full week vacations and summer. However, I'm also paying this to a friend under the table, so I don't pay her when not there. Most licenced daycare places will charge you for the full payment even if you're not there.

I was a teacher and when I had my baby I decided to do childcare in my home so that I could be with him.I only cared for 3 other children. My baby was 6 mo.old, then I also cared for a brother and a sister who were14mo and 3.yrs.old and another child was nearly 3 1/2. They came @8:AM and were picked up @ 5:30 at the latest. They were given healthy snacks and a full dinner @ lunchtime, My pay was $50 a day for each child, and I was paid whether the child came or not except for the two weeks I took off in the summer for my vacation. Remember, that whoever cares for your child, unless it is a relative, should be licensed, and very responsible and dependable.Good luck.

Well... It all depends on the ages of your children. I know that here where I live it can be $20-25+ a day for children 0-4 for home providers, and of course you have to provide everything that child will need for the day. Centers run higher than that. For Summer school for older children, it is around $130 a week.
For babysitter for a couple hours an evening, that would be about $12-15 an hour.

I pay $115 per week. My daughter only goes 3 hours/day but they dont have part time rates where I go. I live in California so it may be more expensive here. My daughter goes to an in home daycare that is allowed to have up to 14 kids. It's run by a nurse, and she pays 3 full time helpers.

thankfully I don't have to worry about that as I am a stay at home mom - but I do know that daycare is pretty expensive - the reason I'm responding to your question is because of the second part for people ripping on you - it's nice to see that you are taking responsibility for your children and not letting your state and our government take care of you and your children - if you are looking for daycare and need something inexpensive I would say check into private home caregivers - look in your local newspaper and see if anyone has listing for childcare in their home - also you can check into nannies - I know it sounds expensive - but I was a nanny when I was younger and made $250-$300 a week for 3 children - it was easier for the parents because I watched the children in their home and they loved it - and I did too - you can also check into the YMCA in your area

good luck to you in your search

At one point in time I was a single/working mom of a 2 year old. I was on assistance for child care only where they paid the bulk of the expenses and I paid 10% of my income. So the day care I chose it cost 155/wk, my share every month was 87. i would seriously consider looking into a program that can assist you with daycare costs it really helped, ecspecially when it was time to put food in the lil guys belly! Know when to put your pride in check and think of what's best for the kids :)

I have a home daycare and I charge $85 a week for full time. That includes meals, snacks, activities, everything. Please don't feel guilty for taking your children to daycare. Just make sure your kids are with a provider who will give them lots of TLC! Good luck!

$132 per week.
I can't believe some of the rude comments you received regarding your question. People can be very ignorant and forget that there are circumstances that prevent moms from having the opportunity to stay at home with their child. I work because I am the sole supporter. And no, I don't receive public assistance of any kind.....it's all on my shoulders.

I don't pay anything for daycare anymore. I get to stay home with my three. I do send them to a sitter once in a while and I pay 3.75 an hour.
