I see that to and it does bother me. A lot of parents don't care what their kids do on-line. They believe they are on age appropriate sites and doing age appropriate things, but they never bother to check out what their kids are doing.

It bothers me. I mean, I remember in junior high you had kids that had 'boyfriends/girlfriends' and they held hands and kissed, but I am alarmed at the number of kids going "hot girl 13 wanna chat?"
I don't know if they think it's funny or if there are kids that young doing crazy stuff out there. As a parent (thankfully not of a teenager yet) it bothers me a great deal. And I wonder, the kid's got a computer, why aren't the parents checking on them?

i find it VERY bothersome and i don't think parents know much about their kids anymore. my friends dated guys all through jr. high and their parents never knew.
i think that dating too younge is a serious problem. i mean, you're not old enough to get married and too younge to understand anything more than kissing and sex. kids are too younge to understand what they are giving away. and for some reason can't wait until marriage.
crushes, fine, can't really stop that. we all had crushes in the third grade. But it's the 'serious' dating that kids get into when they are twelve that i think is destructive.

Yes I find it very bothersome. I have a 13 yr old boy and teens these days are moving way too fast! I have girls calling here all the time (shameless hussies! lol). Seriously with the way their parents let them dress though is it suprising they act like 18 yr olds?

i find it very alarming! i do not understand how a child could be left to their own devices considering the perverse and frightening state of our world. i am also saddened that so many of these kids aren't comfortable discussing these issues with their own parents. for the most part, finding things out from strangers will leave them more confused and less prepared in the long run.

It is scary actually...I mean these kids are asking questions that they should be talking to their parents about...especially regarding sex. They should not be asking for people of the opposite sex to chat with...that is so dangerous. I really think that parents need to be checking up on their kids!

Fortunately my kids aren't old enough to get online, but it does make me wonder whats going on with these kids. They have so many pressures out there.I like to think there are decent people on here that wouldn't take advantage but I know that's not always the case.

it is very disturbing that parents allow them to go on the internet but some know no difference or some just dont care. Thank goodness my daughter is only two and only wants to play Dora games. Its good to see someone care though....

that's too young to date. at that age, the internet should be supervised and for school activities only.
of couse, the above views "are an indepentant thought and may or may not agree with Yahoo's beliefs as a whole" -- or some such line of b.s.
