At 9 months, he should be taking baby food, including at least one serving of rice cereal per day, but he should still take some formula also. Doctors generally don't recommend switching babies off formula until after they are 1 year old.

My daughter was eating infant cereal and pastina at 2 months and mushed up fruits & veggies at 5 months ... it depends on the child ... and the parents.

giving table foods is o.k. at 9 months... but when the baby wants a bottle, they still need formula. they recommend that babies drink formula until they are one year old.... otherwise they can develope severe allergies.

if the baby has a couple teeth its ok, and if he does ok with it and doesnt choke or anyhting....most babies start to get weaned off the bottle closer to 1 year but if hes geeting enough nutrition from the food and if the doctor approves then all is ok

thats about right. he should be eating cereal and veggies now. I suggest veggies first because they are more bland, they say if a baby tastes fruit first, they wont like their veggies.
Worked well with my daughter, she loves carrots and green beans now.
