My grandson just told me to google cucumbers and I washed his mouth out with soap, spanked him, and sent him to bed without dinner. I don't think 6 year olds should use words like "Google" to their grandfathers.

But I am curious what he was talking about?

What are you going to, or have you named your kids?
I find it sad and disheartening to name kids after cars, perfumes, and machines...(ie:Corola, Chanel, and Xerox...not to mention, Nike, Adidas and Subaru...)
I can understand if there is a deep meaning to it, but why would they name them Xerox???
Anyway, I think that original names such as Emily and John are so old fashioned...It's not that I don't like them...it's that I wouldn't like my child to have a plain name. (Plain to me! Please, don't take offense!)
My point being, I want to name my kids Delaney, a girl, and McKenzie, a boy...
Any other neat/unique names you ave thought out, or already used?
Just wondering. I'm hoping I'm not a nut for liking those names...:)

I think I have forgotten how to play. I usually resort to games or puzzles. Any ideas?

Ok, im 13 and i feel unloved by my own parents, but a year ago i met these people and it feels like they were meant to be my parents, im at there house all the time, and they care a lot about me and they support me and my decisions sometimes more then my real parents. is there anything i can do and is this normal, and can it be possible that i just got the wrong parents, i really feel much more comfortable with them and ive triend talking to my parents.

If you were my parents what would you let me do if i seriously felt this way, which i do, but what would you do to help?

He just got sentenced to 17 yrs in prison. She and her dad are very close considering the fact he can only see her when she is with me for the same reasons he is going to jail for. She is a very emotional child who understands things beyond her years. I feel like he should lose the privilage to see her but after this week he will be taken to prison and i wont be able to take her there since its so far. She really wants to see her daddy and she cries everytime i read her a letter or whenever they speak on the phone. Its tearing me apart and i dont know how to handle the situation.

My nine year old son has been living with his father for two years. Lately his father has developed a serious drinking problem and it has affected my son socially and mentally. I would like to get custody back but besides hireing a lawyer, how do I need to prepare for this fight? Can anyone who has been through this situation (especially women) give me some good advice? Where do I start? Only serious advice and answers, please.

I haven't been able to enter any of the codes on Pampers products. The website simply doesn't allow it, even though it's supposed to be one of their marketing points. Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone's been able to enter the codes and actually redeem them for something worthwhile.

My daughter just recently started drinking cow's milk (12 month old) from sippy cups, and she doesn't really drink it cold, so usually I microwave it for about 20 seconds. If she doesn't drink it all, and goes off to play, how long should I let her drink it before I dump it down the drain?

And is it smart to refrigerate milk that has been warmed (either in the microwave or just room temp)?

spend my money on? I dont ask, yet ppl still dont shut up, I dont care what you think.
My money and I will buy what I want, I dont give my two cents when someone buys something I dont care for.
I wish ppl would think before they speak...NONE OF YOU GUYS IN PARTICULAR...just my circle.
I mean if I want to buy my kid a particular brand of clothing or toys...I dont need to hear "your nuts".

When a kid walks away, they are basically labelled as p u s s i e s by bullies, and the bullying continues. But if a bully thinks they will have to fight someone every time they pick on them, they won't do it for long. So why don't people tell their children to stand up for themselves? A stitch in time, so to speak.

My husbands family loves to buy our daughter clothes which is great and very kind. The problem is the kind of clothes they buy her we do not want her to wear. They are spending alot of money on clothing we are just giving away to the Goodwill because we will not let her wear them. His sister tryed to buy her some platform flip flops and I said that we do not approve of them on our daughter. I do not want my 6 year old dressing like a teenager with short short skirts, crop tops, shoes with too high of heels...that type of thing. The whole BRATZ clothing and dolls are something we do not want our daughter thinking is the way a woman should look. Any advise?

Wonderfule little boy until he acts up, then he turns a 180 on me and yells at me, tells me no, whines, cries, stomps, yells, until he gets his own way. I have read a book call 123 Magic, effective displine, and it based on the "123" method. Works most of the time, but I want something a little more solid. Any sugestions?

The kids haven't been behaving all day and nothing is working. They don't listen, they keep getting into trouble.. and everytime you turn around.. they're into something else. You're going to pull your hair out...

Oh, and by the way, they're 4 and 1.. and you're the only one home in a new neighborhood where there's no one you know, your spouse is at work and it's raining...

What do you do to keep yourself from going crazy ??
