No matter how many times I tell him, he never lifts the seat and sprays all over it. Our bathroom has a fan and no window, and sometimes it stinks.

kids do not run the show, they are poeple and dont need to have the crap beat out of them to be disicplined. Why is it parents have become so laxed in setting limits at a day and age with the need for them is greatest.

Ok, my ex, who is the father of my child and was abusive toward me, I left 5 years ago. He hasnt seen his daughter or sent child support..well accept for $20, now wants to see her on a regular basis and wants his girlfriend to be involved as well. I never stopped him from seeing her before, he just chose not to. I'm so leery about this. Should I let him see her, after all these years, she is attached to my fiancee' and calls him dad. I'm confused!!!!!

I have perused this site before deciding to join in and the drama seems intense. What is here, a breast and bottle no mans land here? Some sort of "mommy battlefield"? Is this a good place to ask any questions without facing judgement?

I dont either, really. The thing is he doesnt see kids his own age ever, maybe once in a blue moon.
I am worried he will be the weird kid that dissects animals when he is older if he doesnt have any friends.
Should I put him in day care maybe, for 1 or 2 days aweek.
Also what is your worst daycare experience?

I live in Ohio and am a single mother with low income. My electric bill was INSANE last month and I can't afford to pay it. Cinergy just turned into Duke Energy and I heard they hand out disconnection notices like candy. If you don't know what HEAP is, it's a program that gives a voucher to mail to the electric company to help pay the bill once a year. I have 2 kids (one 10 week old) and need to keep them out of the 90 something degree heat as long as I can. The central air was fighting with the furnace so it was constantly running all month until the complex had someone come out to fix it. I'm sure my next bill will come with a disconnection notice, I am hoping the month's electric will be less since the AC is fixed.

My 7-year-old son just started the second grade (year round school). I feel that he should clean his own room, make his own bed, pick up after himself and help me with his little sister, who is 16 months old. I ask him to help me pick up after her and sometimes watch her while I'm doing the dishes or other household chore. When he watches her, that usually consists of him and her in his room or the living room watching Blues Clues or listening to music.

What chores should a 7-year-old have that he's not presently doing? Am I asking too much of our son when I ask him to watch his sister (I'm always home and NEVER leave them alone)?

My church is starting a Ministry to help the teen moms in our community. I would like to know as a teen mom, what you feel is your greatist need? Or what is one thing that will help and support you the most?

Be honest now. I don't want any pat answers. Is there ever a time when a child should be spanked? How hard? With a belt on a bare bottom or a soft hand on a covered tush?

I have a one-year old...I work full-time ...my mom and mother-in-law took care of her so far. Now I am planning to hire a full-time nanny for the first time. Please suggest what I need to check before selecting and hiring a nanny. Is there any verification necessary? I am scared to leave my child with an unknown person...I am looking for unlicensed one (like college student...) because otherwise it will be too expensive.

I am a stay at home mom, I try to play with my son as much as possible during the day.The thing is around supper time when I'm trying to get supper cooked, dishes washed, and get bathes done, he fusses the whole time. I try to play with him some while I'm trying to get these things done, but, he still fusses and carries on and it is about to drive me crazy. He has two two hour naps a day and I try to get him in bed by 9:00. Please give me some advice here, am I not spending enough time with him? Also, what are some neat things to play with him, he is only 5 months old?

I have friends who just had twin boys, both boys have bleeding on the brain, behind the eyes and fractures. The mother had been taking them to the doctor because they were having like mini seizures and all of the sudden CPS came and took all their children.

I have been around this couple forever, and they have never harmed any of their children. We have heard it could have resulted from the childbirth, but they are classifying it as shaken baby syndrome, in which I honestly, wholeheartidly believe they would not have done.

Need advice for them as they are very distraught over the whole ordeal and miss their children terribly.
