I have 4 children. I don't know if that's the perfect # for me though. I would have had more if it would have been financially feasible. For my husband and I 4 was the point where we knew in order to be fair to our children we needed to stop.

I don't know that there is a perfect #. As long as you have the ability to love, nurture, support and care for those children - if you have 10, it wouldn't be "too many". However, some people that only have 1 child have 1 too many.

I think it depends on the parent that is raising the child/children.

Personally I think its something you should decide with your husband/wife and God. I have four children and would love to have more if I weren't medically advised against it, but we are looking to fostering in a couple of years so regardless of how many biological children I have, I will still be able to parent more if all goes well.
I have friends that only have one and some have as many as 8! The thought of that many can be daunting but we forget that siblings are also good for each other if they are all living in a safe, secure and loving environment. Money isnt the be all and end all, neither is material stuff, but it definately helps!!!

I have six children. That is the right number for me. I just knew after the last baby was born that our family was complete. Children require much of everything.......when that can not be provided for them.....too many.

I want 2 children, but if I get pregnant again after the 2 then I would have a 4th because I would never have just 3 kids, 3rd child syndrome, and believe me, it happens. I am a 3rd child and I feel left out all the time.

I think as you go you will know how many is right for you. Whatever makes you and your significant other happy. Myself personally I am going to have 2 children (unless God decides I am having twins second or triplets ever). But yeah... it varies person to person. I think that 3 would be the most. I would still want my husband and I and the kids to fit in our car/SUV without getting a mini van...

It takes patience and understanding.
1. Children don't come with instruction guides.
2. There is no such thing as perfect child.
I have a friend who has 4 children. Her life is like a roller coaster. But she is always kind hearted. She offers her children the opportunity to learn and grow.

I wouldnt consider 10 too many...but that is just me.

Normal people...ha ha.. would like i guess 4 the most. The usual consensus is probably 2 if not 3.

Good luck and have as many lil ones as you want...God Bless

My husband and I have always said that we want to have 2 or 3 of our own and then adopt 2 or 3 more....and then I always like to add as a sidenote...'ask me again after we have one or two'...LOL

I dunno...we don't have any (one-we're going for one-not looking too promising!)...I would really like to have a large family, but I am honestly not sure if we are well suited for a large one...we'll just have to see how we do with just a couple. We want to do foster care when we are more 'experienced' parents...and seeing how attached we get to people...we'd probably end up adopting several of those kids...so who knows how big or small our family will be.

only you can answer that question. the answer is different for every woman or man. me i have three but if my husband was to ever want more and we could afford it then i wouldnt mind having more. i always thought that three would be enough but now i find myself wondering. so you and your husband need to sit down and figure out how many is just right for the two of you not listen to what any one else says. you and your husband are the ONLY authorities on this subject
