kids realise no matter what they have done or will do for that kid it is likely that one day they will want to meet their real parents

I'm sure a lot of kids do want to know where they came from. My brother in law was adopted, but he has no interest in knowing who his real mom is. There really is nothing wrong with kids wanting to find them, but they also need to be prepared for rejection, because not all birth parents want to be found.

Yes, they realize it. Why should it deter them from adopting a child and giving it a better life and better opportunities than it would get with it's biological parents? I think people that adopt are great. They give so much and ask for nothing back. If I had the means and the space, I would adopt a child in a heartbeat.

I'm sure they know it or thought about it before adopting...It's part of the adoption, kids need to know they were adopted and that they weren't raised in an egoist environment! It's nothing wrong with a kid wanting to know where he came from, his origins, it matters though how he acts after finding out.

My husband is adopted. He only wants to meet his birth parents to find out his medical history.

For him, the parents that raised him are his parents. Not the people that gave him up when he was a baby.

I think that is only fair. There is a genetical bond there. Is it as strong as the bond of that they have with the "parents" who raised them - probably not. I would want to know. Even if I knew that the biological parent put me up for adoption - I would still want to have the chance to meet her/them face to face.

And they have the right to do it.

When u have a kid by yourself and/or adopt one u are raising a human being, not a pet, is not like he/she is gonna stay with u forever.
