Ive been with my sons dad for almost 6 yrs. My son is 2 1/2. I am about 38 weeks along with our second child.Ive tried to stay with him ( my husband) we lived together for like 3 yrs alright then things really started getting bad, he couldnt keep a job, started having raging tantrums, breaking things, throwing me around if i spoke up, selling drugs, hanging out in the "hood". stealing and staying out all night. So I moved out and in with my parents , i work i pay my own way I justcannot live with him. He stays w/somefriendsright now but they are all getting kicked out in a month. I go visit him so our son can see him but he justtakes off on his "runs " allthe time , so last time i justleft .he says im always leaving him and abandoning him. I thought he was starting to change , but now im finding other womens #s i know of who are only known for one thing,( supposed clients of his) he refuses to stop talking to them ,tells me hes making money and im acting up..im soo lost...

Why am I the only one out of my siblings, cousins, and friends that have parents that ALWAYS have parents that make me study? No one I know have parents that do that. Many people say "because you don't make good grades like them." That is not true. My siblings, some of my cousins, and some of my friends are 10 times more lazy than me. So why am I the only one? I don't understand. That is not fair. Do you agree?

my son turns 7 today, and he's told me that he wants us to surprise him in terms of his gifts. What would be a really cool/unique gift to get for him? He has so many toy cars and action figures and such...nothing seems to hold his attention very long. I'm looking for something that will be exciting and fun, or something he'll treasure.

When did you take the "binky" away? And how did you do it?

My daughter is 12 months old and Im not going to take her binky away just yet because she will have a baby sister in the next few weeks, (I don't want her to think of it as a concequence), plus it will make life easier for me in the next few months.

She still hasn't gotten her first tooth, so im not worried about "teeth comming in crooked". (I think thats crap anyways).

But when I do take it away, how should I do it? (keep in mind he little sister will be using one then)

My daughter is turning one next month and I have no clue what I should get her. Any suggestions on good toys that she will actually play with?

I just want to know everyone's opinions on it.

Do you think it is a fair assesment of teenage motherhood?

Do you think an ad like this would be effective in junior high/high schools?

Would this prevent you/make you think harder about having sex/using contraceptives?

Do you think that they should run public service ads like this in America?
Thanks.

the father has not paid child support or had visitation rights but is now being forced to start paying child support of a 3 yr old. The mother and father were never married. The mother does not want him to have any contact with the child (he hadnt expressed any interest in seeing the kid either) but he has now expressed an interest in visitation rights since he is being forced by the court to pay support. So even tho there are other factors, does the fact he starts paying child support increase his chances of getting visitation rights? this is in illinois by the way.

My friends seven year old daughter has been prescribed a medication. The problem is that she can't swallow the pills. Any ideas?

A man has a sexual relationship with a woman one time only. The woman assures the man that she is on the pill and does not want children anyway. The man finds out later through a close friend of the woman that she is pregnant and she plans on keeping the child. The man also finds out from the friend that she believes it was a setup to get pregnant. The woman wants the man to be part of the childs life. He is angry about this and does not want to have anything to do with the woman. He feels no attachment to the child. What should he do and what is the moral (not financial) obligation that he has?

my stepdaughter just recently told me that she never looks/looked at me as a father figure in her life. she was very upset at the time when she said it because her mom and i decided to take her cell phone as a consequence for being disrespectful towards us and other adults.

this is the first time that she has ever said anything like this since my wife and i have been together..(almost 3 years)

i am really hurt behind this statement. i know i need to forgive her and continue to be there for her, and show her that i love her...but it is very hard because i'm holding a grudge, i'm bitter, and i really dont want to do any of those things right now..

any suggestions/advice...serious responses only please thanks

which is in 35 days. i asked my parents and they said if i can prove that im responsible enough they might consider getting me one. they told me to prove my responsibality i have to clean up after myself (i tend to leave things lying around). but my parents are forgetful but if i remind them too much they get mad. how can i remind them whitout them knowing that i am doing so? and if that doesnt work, then what do i do? im gonna be pissed if i dont get a rabbit for my birthday!

I tried to convince my son that running into the street after his soccer ball is not only dangerous, but that he also shouldn't worry much, since it is rather unlikely that his ball will get destroyed when run over. Yesterday he told me that his friends ball got run over by a car and that it did pop. Is that possible???
