I just want to know everyone's opinions on it.

Do you think it is a fair assesment of teenage motherhood?

Do you think an ad like this would be effective in junior high/high schools?

Would this prevent you/make you think harder about having sex/using contraceptives?

Do you think that they should run public service ads like this in America?
Thanks.

This commerical brings out the message clearly to its target audience- that is, teenage motherhood can be very difficult and demanding. It stays true to its objective that if you are to have sex, use contraceptives. But of course, the main purpose of which is to let teenagers know that sex can wait later.

This info- commercial was powerfully executed and I am pretty sure that it will catch the young people's attention but as well as getting the attention of adults and kids alike. So, presenting it before a group of junior high schoolers, shouldn't be a problem.

Somehow, the effectiveness of this commercial's message should be reinforced with other channels such as print, radio commercials and even holding symposiums so as to discuss the challenges faced by teenaged mothers as well as the consequences of premarital sex. In culminating different means to bring about the message, I believe that so doing, teens would have to think twice about having sex. But of course, this problem is also rooted on the morals & values of the people and the influences brought about by mass media.

I believe that it's high time to show something like this in America.

Concerning whether it's a fair assessment of motherhood, well, at one perspective, it is. It just shows clearly that teenage motherhood is one big serious responsibility- and that is a fact. Feminists and other groups might get upset with this info-mercial and it wouldn't be a wonder if they would line up the streets and say that this info-mercial is a disgrace and not a true reflection of what teenage motherhood is. Well, we are to face the facts as well that we cannot please everyone and that each one is entitled to his own opinion. Overall, this ad is superb and should the American Public Health Authority execute one, it will definitely bring out the message clearly and boldly.

I think this commercial is a little scary to be honest, which is probably good, its great that they're showing all the hardships of motherhood, but the approach is all wrong. Teenagers are going to have sex no matter what. In fact most the teenagers I know would watch this and laugh, thinking it could never happen to them. The ones who do get pregnant will see this and think twice about going through with the pregnancy, and I'm not too much for raising the abortion rate. What I do like is that it is a pretty fair assesment of teenage pregnancy, and maybe it would help some kids think twice about having sex, not many, but maybe a few, it would still be an improvement. I will probably make even more kids think twice about using contraceptive, which is very very important. All and all I think its a good commercial, the only improvment I would make to it is to send in a message that says it can happen to them, very very easily.

What a fantastic ad I am a mother of a 16 year old and this would be a great way to get a conversation going in our household as well as the attention of our 14 year old whome loves video games right now.
I hope to see it on in the United States. You could even run it at junior and senior high schools in health classes what an effective tool for parents and educaters.
Really great!!

I think that is a damed good commercial. I think it probably is a fair assessment.. I think it should be shown in high schools.. I don't think it's going to do anything for a teenager.

They are going to have sex no matter what you say or show them. Trying to get teenagers to not have sex is like trying to convince a smoker to quit.. They know it's wrong, they know they can get diseases from it.. they know it could kill them. they don't care. That's the bottom line.

Teenagers do what they want, when they want it.. and there's nothing you can do about it.. but supervise them.

OMG, I really think that they should show that here. I mean so many teenagers think that it's going to be so much fun but they don't realize how hard it actually is. If you drop out of school then you can't feed your child. If you stay in school then you can't study properly. Once you have a child it's really hard to have a social life. Your friends and family can't always drop everything they are doing to babysit if you have a doctors appointment or something else to do. Teenagers just don't appreciate the opportunity that they are given to have someone take care of them and let them get an education to prepare for their futures. They just want to think that their parents are out to get them because they aren't allowed to stay out all night. It's sad really.

I think its a stupid commercial. I also think that kids would see it and think that it aint a real assessment of what motherhood is like and it wouldnt make a difference at all. That was the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. I was a teen mom, but I was out of school, but it is nothing like that. I have teen mother friends and that is nothing like what goes on. And there are unfit grown *** moms, why don't you make one for them? This is a load of crap to me.

Most kids look down on teen moms and already try hard not to do that, but yes it would be a good ad for the u.s.a. but it doesn't represent all teen moms. It would just make further stereotypes that all teen moms are not good parents and being a teen mom I know thats not true.

I think it would make a great ad campaign to run here in US. But ithink many people are too uptight to do so..I think teens would use their head alot more instead of their hormones.
