spend my money on? I dont ask, yet ppl still dont shut up, I dont care what you think.
My money and I will buy what I want, I dont give my two cents when someone buys something I dont care for.
I wish ppl would think before they speak...NONE OF YOU GUYS IN PARTICULAR...just my circle.
I mean if I want to buy my kid a particular brand of clothing or toys...I dont need to hear "your nuts".

I assume you are in the store and someone looks into your shopping cart and sees a box of Sugar-Coated Choco Bombs cereal and makes that tsk-tsk noise.

If you have the EXTRA money buy it. No one but you chooses what you buy. There r somethings I find silly that my friends spend money one, like the newborn whatever shoes for $75. It was a bit silly because the baby was only going to wear them for maybe a month, but I said nothing to her. They were cute shoes.
Sometimes I think maybe people mite be a lil jealous of what we buy, but at the same time they may be speaking from experience. I dont know. Either way they should just leave people alone about what they buy. Why try to push my views onto someone else, unless Im sure they need or want to know.

Nobody really has a say on what you spend your money on UNLESS you are borrowing it from them, or asking them for money constantly...and then since it would actually be their money until you pay it back, they could say anything they darn well please. How bout this? Shutup on what you spend your money on, who cares anyhow??? Are you a braggart and have to impress everyone with the things you buy? Maybe they are just sick of hearing you talk about your money and the things you have...maybe try taking a friend to lunch (you pay) for a change and you might get back some positive feedback. I don't know, they're entitled to their opinion just like you are, if you are open to sharing what you buy with the world, expect reactions and opinions, if not keep it to yourself. What's it gonna matter in ten years anyhow? Just my two cents worth...

jealousy. makes them feel superior. some people actually think they are giving valuable information. It's one thing to throw out some knowledge you may think is worth something, but it's another to think someone is not doing something correctly (and by correctly i mean THEIR way)

i spend my money on what i want and what i can afford. sometimes this can be a bad habit. if my kids WANT brand name clothing, i usally will give up those $200.00 shoes i have been eyeing to do so. The only reason any other person would complain, would be because they can't afford to do that, or are to selfish to give up something they want for their kids.

but then, that's just my two cents.

If you're a "young parent" and your circle of friends are also young parents then quite possibly they're just voicing their opinions in order to validate their own actions.
Some really god advice that my father gave me years ago that is still valid today was, "Even a fool can teach you something, if you just listen."
You don't have to act on what people say, and it doesn't hurt you to listen. When people say things to you, you gain insight into that person's way of thinking. More often than not that doesn't amount to much, but sometimes, you can learn something, if you just listen.

Then let them know how you feel...if someone says "you're nuts" then look at them and say "No, I'm not, but if you don't care for that then I wouldn't recommend you purchase it."

if you truely don't care what they think, then why do you hang with them... sometimes our friend can see things we can't, maybe they r conserned that if you spent you money more wisely, you would have more to spend, or save. just a thought.

maybe they feel jealous that they cannot be that generous to their children because they do not have that kind of money. i wouldn't flaunt it in their face, but do what you want and ignore them if it persists.
