My baby will be eight weeks old when I go back to work and ideally, I'd like to send him to daycare with formula and keep breastfeeding (at least some) at home. Anyone experienced with this?

My daughter just sprouted a tooth at 8 months. It's a cute little snaggletooth too. I've been told that now I must practice oral care. I'm having two problems: she doesn't want anything in her mouth (I try taking a damp washcloth and since she's teething she sometimes lets me put it in) and she has a before bed nursing session that gets her nice and dreamy. Advice welcomed. Thank you!

I am looking into getting a mini crib for the new baby. I used a regular crib with my first, but she was in a toddler bed at the age of 8 months. The mini cribs convert to a toddler bed instead of converting to a full or twin. If you have used a Mini crib please tell me your experiences with this bed.

My 2 month old recently developed a rash on her face, chin, ears and there are some spots on her head too. The rash looks like little red bumps. I took her to the pedi and he said it was "baby acne". However, I've done some research and am finding it hard to believe since most sites say acne tends to come on around 3-4 weeks. She had no symptoms until she was 8 weeks. I was breastfeeding her exclusively until she was 6 weeks old, then transitioned her to gentlease formula for daytime feedings but switched to similac soy due to spit up and tummy problems after a week. She got this rash 5 days after starting the similac soy. I'm wondering if it's an allergy to the formula. Any thoughts/ideas?

I recently noticed that my daughters daycare has been spraying lysol on everything including the toybox at the end of the day and then the next day the babies play with these toys and put them in their mouths. I also heard that lysol is very dangerous to spray around little ones. I need to find this info so I can give it to the daycare. The lysol customer service wasn't very helpful.

Hi- My baby boy is teething. He has been up for about 5 days now (well, having trouble sleeping, waking even after just 3 hours of taking tylenol- poor thing). This morning I saw it- a big white bump. When will it pop through? A day? A Week ? Does it vary? Thanks!

And is there a law in Georgia about keeping pet squirrels? How do you "simulate" the squirrel after feeding?

My son is now 5 days old and we are breastfeeding....I was just wondering if there were any tricks on how to get him to latch on a little easier. He seems to have a hard time starting but then is fine once he gets the hang of it. He also favor the right breast over the left. anyway to even it out? I know it's still early but i want to make it as easy as possible!! I've heard of pumping a little out before we feed but he still seems to have a hard time with it. any suggestions of tips that worked for people???

Do you think this is too early? I was thinking of just giving a spoon or so at bedtime to get him to sleep longer throughout the night. What are your thoughts?

at 11 months how many times a day were they nursing?
Does anyone else have one that still wakes more than once a night to nurse?
My son still doesn't have an awful lot of interest in solids, yes he's growing and developing well-thinning out, growing taller, RUNNING everywhere. He will drink from a cup all day if he's just thirsty.
I have no intentions of giving up breastfeeding until HE's ready, I'm just curious as to others' experience.

She has been diagnosed with MSPI and Reflux and is taking meds for the reflux. We have tried Prosobee, nutramigin, neocate, elecare, Alimentum RTF, and goats milk. I am not sure if the MSPI is a great DX due to the one formula that worked the longest, alimentum is a milk based formula. I am thinking about trying the enfamil A.R. but I am at last resort here. Please help with any suggestions...i'm open. Thanks

My daughter is not content on breast milk alone, and every 2 hours she needs another feed. I am unable to leave her with anyone for very long. I have been introducing a bottle and she does take some, sometimes but its a feeding nightmare sometimes. This morning for example she took 60ml that was after a 4hr sleep. Then she just played with the teat ( Mams) I stop, take her round the house, change her nappy, massage her and try again. She sucked a few times and that was it. I gave in and put her on the breast which she took and had a good feed. If I carry on with the bottle we can be feeding on and off for hours. Or she will get into a right state (bad tempered crying and not wind). Oh I forgot to mention I feed her lying down as we have discovered its less windy and she cries less! Any advice on getting her to take a whole bottle. I want to be able to leave her with my mum for a couple of hours and not worry that she is just constantly crying all the time as she has done previous

Okay, I'm pregnant. My youngest daughter will be 19 months when baby is born, so she is still in crib and happy in crib I don't want to move her out of crib until she wants to be moved out of crib. My 2nd daughter was born when my 1st was 19 months old too but she started crawling out of crib at 16 months so we moved her to toddler bed, baby no.2 went straight into crib. So heres my dilema..... Do we buy a bassinette and see if our youngest is ready for a crib by the time baby is ready to be out of basinnette, buy a playpen that has the bassinette inside it we were thinking the Fisher Price Rainforest Playpen, if you don't know what I'm talking about you can see it at babiesrus.com since I think baby may be able to stay in this a little longer than a bassinette to give our youngest a little more time in her crib or do we just buy another crib? Thanks, sorry it was kinda long lol!

Okay, here's the deal. I have not been sleeping. I have the opportunity, my 5 month old sleeps through the night starting at 8 and waking up at 8, but I just can't sleep. I am breatfeeding my baby, so there is a limit at to what I can take. Can anyone think of anything I can take? Has a doctor prescribed anything to anyone while they are breatfeeding saying it is safe for baby?
