Pregnancy & Parenting - 25 September 2007

My daughter seems to be quick to pick up words, but not proper pronunciation or short sentences. She still uses a lot of babble too. I do everything I can to help her - I sound it out, I read slow and clear, I don't baby talk to her, etc. But I feel as though she's behind other toddlers her age? Does any one have a similar experience and what came of it? Or is this pretty typical? This is my first child and I keep hearing different things.

Can someone who knows arabic help me please.

For naming a child; I've read many places that Xavier in Arabic means 'Bright'.

Is this correct or does the name not exist in Arabic?

If it is correct what is the correct way to pronouce it in English?

I know it also has origins in Spanish and basque.

I've googled it myself so I'd prefer answers from people who know Arabic.

i've just had my 1st child this year i've breastfed him the entire time, hes now 8months old. He absolutley does not take a bottle. i've had unprotected sex, using the pull out method with his father. Do you think its possible i'm already pregnant? What are some signs? and will i stop lactating if i am?

I had my second child on the 10th of this month... he is formula fed but today is the first day I tried breastfeeding. I tried it because my mother didnt make his formula right, he enjoyed it and I want to continue to do it but now it seems when I try to nurse him, he's not getting anything out. What can be done about this problem??

My sister keeps telling me that I am going to have an extremely nervous baby because I enjoy spicy food. Now to me my level of spiciness is not that spicy, but to her it is extreme. I don't eat spicy food every day, I'd say 3-4x a week I am eating spicy food. But she swears that I am making my baby an emotional wreck because of it. I keep telling her that your food is broken down before it reaches the baby and that it DOESN'T MATTER. My doctor even told me that there is nothing wrong with eating spicy food and that my child will be fine. But, what do you all think, just out of curiosity!

I just had a miscariage on 9/12/07 with twins. I bled for about 4 days, and i had sex with my husband like everyday after that lol.(IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY WEEKEND).

Never the less, im cramping now, and it's been about 8-9 days since i had sex.

I miscarried naturally, and the doctor did an ultrasound to confirm everything was gone. Do you think this could be ovulation pain? I know i CAN'T BE PREGNANT FROM HAVING SEX THE 15, OR UP BECAUSE ITS NOT ENOUGH TIME...I DON'T THINK.LOL

any comments (positive) are greatly appreciated.

My Ob/Gyn put me on Ondansetron for severe morning sickness, has any one you been put on this? If so, I'd like a little reassurance that it's safe, I know it's kind of crazy, but it worries me.

SO my friend...S really likes this guy name..D.
Me, S and D hang out alot. Its clear that he likes her. She'll be like (jokingly) "LETS GET TECHNICAL!" And he'll be like "OK!"
And its really sickeing!!!! I cant bail out on S and I'm friend with D... what do I do?!?!

BUT heres the catch...

S is going out with...C, one of her and D's friends.
So I find it weird that S is so...'sxual jokingly' with D.

Wtf is going on and what do I do about their sick and wrong jokes when I'm around?

Why do guys (teens) hate?
Girls that are strong, outspoken and stand up for what they believe in? Or other guys lie and say they can handle it but don't? Like I'm 15 and like when I say outspoken I don't mean b*tching but I meant being opinionated and not backing down on my beliefs. It seems as soon as there's a chick like that they drive away guys.

Is it like imasculating? Cause I don't get it. What's wrong with a chick who knows what she wants?

My bf and I are talking about babies because we're planning to get married soon. But I was wondering what the likely hood of us having a baby with his light green colored eyes. I have brown eyes and everyone in my family does to. His eyes are like a light green and i believe green and blue eyes run on his side of the family.

I was hoping that we would have a baby girl with my asian complexion and his green eyes. Cause it would be like the cutest thing in my opinion.

Anyone know the possibility of that happening? I totally forgot how to do that square thing from biology class! ^_^;;
