My 6 mo old baby girl sweats like carzy but only on her head.Her hands and legs feel cold but she is dripping wet on her hair every time she sleeps and I am so confused whether to cover her or not!
Is this normal?

I just recently told my two older boys (4 & 9) that mommy and daddy were going to have another baby next year. My oldest (the 9 year old) tells me: "Good, I need a few more brothers and sisters for this game we're playing outside!) LOL!!!!!

I live in midlands ireland. Our maternity ward is disgraceful. Three beds in a tiny room. Two of these beds are on same side of room and the wheelie cots are beside each other. The midwives are understaffed. They are going on strike because of this. We cater for our own county and all the surrounding ones too. The birth rate has shot up to an amazing level because of the foreign nationals moving to the country. The same midwives work the maternity ward and labour ward. If there are a few women in labour, no midwives or nurses to be there for women who have already given birth. Practically no after birth care. Never mind help with breastfeeding. I had a visit from my health visitor once and that was it. I am now on my second pregnancy and wish I had the 2000 euro, about £1700 to go private. Im dreading it. We dont get a first scan til 20 weeks or after. No hospital app before then even. How is your pregnancy care and hospital? Ireland is not the 3rd world, it shouldnt be so bad.

i have recently come down with flu and my baby is ill too with it
since my milk seems to have dissapeared i no there is milk there as he eats but there aint enought he is fussing and batting andcrying cos there aint enuff.
is this temp as im ill and his ill and wil my milk return after im bak to health. oh btw seems my let down has dissapeared also he is over 3 months adn i have felt every let down til this week im ill and it just isnt there anymore
shall i pump?
any advice?

my 4 year old has started to call me and my husband by our first names. I do feel a bit taken a back about it since it is not common practice for children to refer to their parents like that but don't mind it as well.
Do you think there will be negative consequences in the future if I let her call me Jennifer instead of Mom?

Does the father have to be there for me to give my baby her fathers last name. I want her to have her dads last name but Im not sure if he is going to be there when she comes. He is far away and I dont know if he would make it. But just to be on the safe side. I heard the father has to be there to sign something or something but is it true?

When I make a bottle for my son the recipe says add 1 scoop for 2 oz. So I add three scoops for 6 oz. It actually makes almost 7 1/2 oz when it is all said and done. My son is supposed to have 16 oz a day. She calculates a bottle as 6 oz and I calculate it as 7 1/2 oz. If I bought it premade I would only pour 6 oz into the bottle NOT 7 1/2 oz. Of course she says that I over analyze everything...I just like to do things right. If I am wrong,so be it...I just like to at least try to follow the directions as they were given by the doctor.

Last Monday my HCG level was 127. Yesterday (Monday) my HCG levels was 550. It appeared to double every 3rd day (or so). My doctor is concerned because it is not doubling every 48 hours - they say it should be around 1000 by now. Has anyone experienced low HCG levels such as this in early pregnancy, and if so, what resulted - miscarriage, normal pregnancy, etc.

Yesterday, my doc gave me a blood test (qualitative) and it came back under 5 (not pg). When I got home - looking at my calendar I realized I probably ovulated this past weekend...meaning blood was drawn only 3-4 DPO. SO, the hGC wouldn't even be present yet because implantation hasn't happened (IF I am pg). Is this correct?? Could it have been a false negative?? I'll do some HPT this weekend just to be safe. Can anyone shed some light on this, clarify or explain?Thanks!!

I have a 20 month old son and I have noticed I get annoyed with a lot of "parental behavior" like that. So what annoys you?

Me it has to be when children that can walk are still drinking out of bottles. Or older children with paci's (like we saw a kid playing a ds and he was also sucking on a pacifire... What bugs you?

As a kid when we were bad our mom would punish us&after she would say-just wait until your daddy gets home there will be trouble!That always meant there was further punishment on the way and it made us behave better for the rest of the day.Now I hear moms saying it all the time-I'm gonna tell daddy about what you did later etc.I used to think this meant that the Dads are the bad guys but now as a stay at home Dad I find myself saying just wiat til I tell mommy how you have behaved.
Why do we do this,is this us clutching at straws in the hope that the parent coming home from work will know how to punish them more effectively?I am quite strict with my kids I have to be or they would appeal to my softer nature and run rings around me but I still rely on my wife's input when she gets home.If the kids misbehaves I handle it there&then but talk to my wife about it later.For more serious behaviour we will think of a punishment together-is this any better than telling tales?

Hello, this is a 2nd post. I just found out my child has been adopted 'in the notes' since 1995 from West Virginas Child Enforcement, but still have court order in Florida to pay till shes 18. Need help cant afford attonery. Also since 1994 I moved and switched jobs many times my emploter hasnt recevied and income deduction orders.

My sister had a c- section and her scar looks so bad! Its is like all the way from one side of her stomach to the other and its not a straight line.. it goes up and down.. not just a nice straight cut... and the also did not flatten her stomach back out i dont guess.. it has a flap that hangs over from it..?? is this normal?? do all c- section scars look like that??

If you are a teenager an happen to find yourself pregnant, by all means I think you should ask questions and get all the support you can. But if you are a teen you should not be getting pregant on purpose. Members, please check the profile of anyone you are giving TTC advice to for an age. This should be a significant factor in your advice. Am I the only one who is bothered by this???
