Before I had kids, I worked with a pediatric dentist. For starters, it depends on the age of your child and which teeth..front or back. It also depends on the doctor you see. I know that seems stupid, but different dental schools teach different things on some subjects.
The only way you will know, is if you take your child to the dentist. Try to find one for children. If you can see the rot, an infection is not far away!! Don't wait any longer..call today!!

they will pull the teeth so they do not rot the adult teeth before they come in. Decay in baby teeth is serious, and needs to be treated.
If the adult teeth have rotted then they will either pull them and put in an implant, or your child will have a plate of false teeth.

if there is insurance the dentist might want todo root canals and place new teeth in or extract them and put in a partial or full plate of teeth..If your teeth are that bad plz get some help because infections could set up and the infection could travel thru the blood stream and you will be in world of hurt.. take that from experience.. hospitalization with iv.. lol

Probably cap them but It depends on the age of the child, how bad the tooth is & what tooth it is. First option is filling it, obviously. If they are too bad to be filled they will probably put those silver caps on them. Pulling is a last resort but they may do that if the teeth are just in horrible shape & would likely be losing them soon.
