and called the police when he tried to make peace. If she is like this now I cant see how their lives (and the life of the child) wont be one drama after another. My friend really wants to be a father, although the pregnancy was unexpected, but I think he would be better off to leave rather than battle for 10 years and still at the end of it leave. What is best?

I'm 21, I live in my own house and work full time. So I'm not a young teenager. I don't think I can tell her to her face cuz she'll be so disappointed. I'm meant to be the responsible one. But now I'm pregnant and the Dad doesn't want to know so I'm on my own. Would it be completely awful of me to text my Mum and tell her? Would it hurt her more?

My daughter is almost 8 years old and my son is almost 15 months old. My step-mother in law wants to start potty training my son, however I don't think he's ready. She's really demanding and never listens to what I say. I say he's not ready and it's too soon, but when he goes to her house, she is almost starting him soon; once she gets a potty chair. Now, I have no choice but to send him there because she watches him during the day while I go to work so he spends a lot of time at her house. How old or what are some signs of potty training. I think we should wait till he's about a year and a half. What do you guys out there say????

my sons teacher is realy making me feel down , everytime she see`s me waiting outside my sons class room with the other parents after school she keeps coming over to me and starts talking about my son infront of ppl ,they can hear her ,stuff like "my son wouldnt listen to her at p.e time "and that "he kept running around " my son is only 4yrs old and has just started her class on the 19th sept, she says she expects him to start reading by now, then she had the cheek to say"maybe theres something else wrong with him?"this teachers know`s my son has hearing problems, and he may have glue ear which a simple operation will help this,!the other teacher is just as bad ,when im leaving the school she stands at the school gates (to make sure the children are leaving with an adult)and as im leaving she will say "my son has been hitting the other children today "she tells me this when theres other parents behind me waiting for me to get out the way to leave, they can all hear her , ---------

I heard an interesting poll on the radio today. Do you believe parents should teach their kids about alcohol responsibility by showing them what it means to drink responsibly at a young age? Meaning, instead of TELLING them about it, SHOW them. Why or why not?

My brother got his girlfriend pregnant. The grandma has custody of this girl. She's making her get an abortion. The girl says shes doing it cause her grandma is making her and so the law doesn't do anything to my brother. My brother slit his wrists tonight. The law cant make her abort it or the grandma right? Or cant she at least have the baby and let our family take it in? I'm totally against abortion and its late with no one to talk to thats why im posting. My brother is in the hospital, after doing that. I saved his life by sending an ambulance. I have two kids of my own thats why im so against her killing the fetus. Please excuse the going on and on of a girl who almost lost her brother, and trying to save the life of an innocent. but can someone point me where to look for answers on the rights this baby has, and the rights that the 16 year old mother has?

Today my 6 month old gave me three kisses! The first time he did it I thought I was just crazy but he was looking at me in the eyes, leaned forward pursed his lips slightly and kissed me two other times right on the mouth at two seperate occassions. Of course I puckered up. It was amazing! I just wonder if it seems very early for him to do this. I dont think my other child gave kisses this early. His birthday is March 13, 2007.

He has been toilet trained since he was 3 years old and hasn't been too bad, but instead of getting better he seems to be getting worse. He doesn't completely wet himself to the point of having to change clothes but he always has big wet patches at the front of his underpants that sometimes go through to his clothes. I am really frustrated and embarrassed at times when all his friends seem to stay dry. Is he just lazy or could this be a medical problem?

My daughter has a rash around her mouth, nose and appears to have swollen eyes. Her doctor says she's allergic to something she's eating. Has anyone had similar problems with their children and what did you do? I can't seem to find what food may be causing it and am beginning to wonder if she may be allergic to the plastic in her bottles. Has anyone heard of this?

I thought I would go to the park and as the paretns show up, to tell them I can take their child in my van to A and W or they can drop them off there if they want. When the last person shows up and is informed, I will go and meet the other kids whose paretns took them. Than what? What do you do with 9 kids at A and W for an hour and a half? Can I bring my cake in?

My mom, who watches my son 1 day a week while I'm in nursing school and who is also raising my niece, is constantly comparing his and her abilities to one another. My Aunt also has a baby in her custody who is very close to my sons age and they are always constantly in competition over who's smarter, more "physically advanced", etc. etc.

They did this with me, my sisters and my cousins when I was little and I remember always feeling not good enough. I think it's wrong and cruel.

My son is only 19 mo. old but I know that soon he will understand and I wonder if I should try to find alternate care. I've talked to her about this and she just continues... it doesn't phase her. Also, she and my Aunt are horrible gossips (even about their own children) and seem to thrive on negative drama. It hurts.

She also doesn't respect what I say when it comes to my son. She gives him kool-aid, french fries.. basically junk..even though I provide healthy snacks for her to give him. Advice?

This is my first. Today is the 'due date'. I was at a 6 on Tuesday and had my membranes stripped. Also I've lost my mucous plug. Other than some pretty painful cramping Tuesday after I got 'stripped' I have no labor signs.

I took him to the doctor today and he has to get some lab work done. By the way he just turned 3 months. For about a week off and on hes had diahrrea, low grade fever, loss of appetite, very cranky, crying all day, chewing on what he can, mucous in his stools, drooling, very fidgity, just cant hold still, and his face he gets really red. He used to have 1-2 stools a day now its 6-8. But today he had 11 stools and very loose, mostly watery. I have never been so freaked out. But we wont know anything until all the tests come back. If hes still like this tomarrow, Im going to take him to the ER. The dr didnt think I needed to until the tests come back. Im giving him pediolite inbetween every feeding and tylenol. The dr said alot of times with mucous in the stools means an infecton. I have no idea whats wrong and I dont know what to do for the poor guy. I feel terrible. I dont think I can wait for the tests. What should I do? Does anyone have an idea what it could be?? Please Help!!
