My daughter is a very curious crawler and constantly goes for things she cannot have. I tell her "no" in a firm tone and remove her hands or her from the situation, and she either cries and tries to go for the object again, or she laughs and thinks it's a game, and still tries to get at the not-allowed item again. She also wiggles and squirms uncontrollably on the changing table and in my arms sometimes, and no amount of "no" or positive reinforcement when she stays still has made any difference so far. I fear she'll only get harder to manage if we don't do something soon to get her to listen to us. Any advice? Thanks!

Since the first time I told my sister-in-law about my pregnancy uptil now she keeps saying over and over again to me, and behind my back to my sister that i'm having a boy. She's so bloody obsessed that its annoying me BIG TIME. She finds reasons about how my pregnancy is going (like commenting on my skin and body) to confirm im having a boy. Apparantly, according to her my skin looks dead and i dont have a big bump, so im having a boy, which is such BS, because my haemoglobin level is 11.9 and my midwife commented on how healthy i look. The thing is the two most important ppl in this pregnancy (my husband and i) dont care whether our baby is a girl or boy, so why is she compulsively going on about it? Because she keeps going on about it, its making me feel uncomfortable like everyone expects a boy of me, which is so stupid, but its how i feel when she says these things.

I absolutely can not stand it when adults encourage their children to swear! Either encouragement by telling the kids to swear or encouraging them by laughing every time a child swears! Can somebody explain to me why this is so funny? Now, if you are trying to have your child to say something and they accidently pronounce it as a swear word... I understand that.. but not any of the other instances!

I am a mother... and the father of my child encourages him to swear and it really annoys me! (We're not together by the way)

Do you only test until you get a positive? Or do you continue to test? Wouldnt it seem like if you kept on testing after a posive surge, you would test until you get a neg. and then you would know what day you ovulated on?

I noticed my 7 yr. old son and now my 5 yr. old daughter and spending alot of time on the computer and/or ps3. I am now inforcing a "LAW" in our house; if you want to play games on line you have to complete 1 hour, no less, of an educational website or cdrom.

I am hoping by the end of the hour they will be burnt out and forget about the meaningless game they were wanting to play and learn alittle in the meanwhile.

I was hoping to find some "teaching based" websites to introduce to them, all suggestions are great but ones from teachers would be extra apprecited.

My daughter is goin to be 3 in december, she has been potty trained since she was 2, and for the last 6 months she has had only one or two accidents ! Well last night she went in her pee in her underwear and we changed them..then she woke up, and said she had to go pee and she went in the potty about 1am, well 2 am comes and she peed her underwear again, then when we woke up she went pee in her underwear again, then we found pee spots throughout the house and when she goes pee she goes right by the toilet on the floor! She has had about 6 accidents just this morning and she hasnt even had more then a cup of juice? Is this an attention thing, why is she doing this?

My brother in law and his girlfriend have a 3 yr old little girl. They do not buckle their little girl in her carseat because she screams. I am deeply horrified by their immaturity, and I want to say something, but the problem is that they're family, and I don't want to create enemies with them.

I would like to email them this link http://youtube.com/watch?v=azgBhZfcqaQ . What do you think?

I'm concerned that I'm overstepping my place as this child's aunt... But I want to send the link to them so BADLY in hopes that the video will make them think twice about ever again letting their child go in the car without being properly restrained in her seat! Should I mind my own buisness, or should I step in?

name 4 games you can play with babies younger than 3 months..
-materiales/toys aren´t allowed
-just singing isn´t enough, a song is not a game
-neihter is singing and making movements, because the baby can´t imitate them.
-no tickling, because such a small baby can not respond to it
-no kikaboo game

please keep in mind such a small baby can hardly do anything
we have this asigment and all the games students came up with were not approved...the teacher is very demanding...

im 22, and ive been on the pill for 3.5 years. im getting married next year and am planning on having kids a few years later. by that time, i would be on the pill for likr 5 or 6 years. i have met many women recently who shared with me their problems getting pregnant after being on the pill so long. is this common? should i get off the pill now? is there a connection between the pill and being infertile?

when I turned it on today I got !(with brush) I cleaned it with damp Q-tip and still showing. I called the help # and they said they would send me stuff to send it in for repair, but that really leaves me hanging for this month. I have been TTC for 5yrs and Every month seems like forever. I know I can just go get OPK untill I get my monitor back, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and found a way to fix it themselves? I already change batteries.

I am 20 weeks and 1 day pregnant. My due date is February 14th, 2008. Now that I am feeling better from my first trimester anguish, I am starting to think about things I'll need to do in the near future. If anyone could help me out and give me some advice on these issues, I'd greatly appreciate it.

1. When do I need to start looking for a hospital to have my baby in, and how soon should I sign up with one?

2. When do I need to select a pediatrician to care for my child after he is born?

3. I will have one year at my current job in November. I live and work in NE Ohio. I have excellent benefits at this job and am planning to take the maximum 12 week FMLA leave, which will be paid by my long-term disability insurance (which, by the way, I was covered for the day I started here). How soon do I need to apply for FMLA?

I am sure some of these things are for the later weeks, but any advice would be greatly welcomed. Thanks!!
