I didn't realize how many people had problems like I did from the depo shot. It is the worst form of bc ever! I gained 30 pounds, I didn't have a period for a year while I was on it, and it took me almost 5 months to get back to normal. I had to have an ovary and a tube removed due to a strange solid grapefruit sized tumor that grew in 8 months. My doctor says that this has nothing to do with the depo shot, but I wonder. Now we've been ttc for 15 months with no luck. I try to warn everyone I can about the depo. Good luck to you!

I agree with all of you. I was on the depo for 4 years and it took two and a half yrs for my cycle to return to me, this might be the reason clomid is not working for me besides having pcos. By the way FYO I was just diagnosed with Pocs after I was taken off the depo, I was told the depo is what started it.

After my Depo shot wore off I bled for 6 months straight after not having a period for 6 months while I was on Depo. I think you just have to let it run it's course.

I only had one shot. WOW! Did it screw me up. I bled for 4 months straight after my last shot. I ended up going to the doctor and found that as as result of stopping things he found that I had endometriosis and PCOS. I had it before I took the shot however, it just progessed a lot quicker after. It took me over a year and a half to get my body to regulate. I had to go on BC to cycle properly and to stop the bleeding. I've known a few girls take the shot and every one of them has had some sort of problem afterwards. I suggest seeing your doc and maybe going on the pill to try and stop the spotting and to get back on track.

Depo is terrible. It made my hair fall out. All of it, completely bald. I was only on one cycle (3 months too) and it took a year for my cycle to get back to normal. That was on par with what the packaging had said, up to a year to get your cycle regulated and 2 years to get pregnant (sometimes).

Sorry I don't have better news for you but maybe we can prevent someone from getting the shot!

It took me a year after having to rounds of shots to get my periods back the first time, and the second time I got my periods back at the end of the 3rd month, but I bled for like 20 days straight. I finally had to go on Yazmin for 3 months to regulate my period and I got pregant 2 weeks after stopping it.

I was on the depo for 3 yr.'s. I don't have regular periods at all, I have one every 6-8 mnth.'s. My body hasn't been normal ever since! I think that u won't ever have a normal period anymore and I think it's best that you seek medical attention. The spotting might be a bad thing also. 2 yr.'s later and I have one lil boy that Im trying to have another one I have miscarried and sometimes I think it was b/c of the Depo.

You have probably entered menopause prematurely because of the depo. Maybe you should ask your physician.
