I am a teacher and in the past few years I have taught several Siennas. None of them have ever been teased about their names!
Burnt Sienna! Only an adult would come up with that. Do you really think kids sit there and read the crayon labels? They are too busy doing other things, like coloring.
Kids do tease, but they tend to tease insecure children, rather than children with unique name. Sometimes a really weird name will be teased, but if a child is generally confident, they can pull off any name.
One of the most popular kids in my class this year is named Sheldon, which is a brutal name. No one makes fun of his name. I have had kids named Emma, a pretty and ordinary name, who has been teased. And I had a little boy in my class named Siegfried whose name got one of two comments, but he was cool enough to laugh it off.
I would not worry about Sienna getting teased, but if she does, I am sure that you are the sort of mom who would comfort her and help her gain enough confidence that the teasing would not bother her very much at all.
ps
it is a beautiful name and I love it!

I think Sienna is a beautiful name. I don't think kids will even know what burnt Sienna is when she gets to school. So I wouldn't worry about it.

Yes.
No matter what you name your daughter, she'll get teased. My name's Kayt, and kids said "Kayt Kayt always late!" My sister's name is Amelia, and they called her "Emilio Estevez". It's like that episode of Full House, where Stephanie got tired of being called Steve, and wanted to change her name to Dawn. Then, her dad pointed out the other kids would call her Donald Duck. The point is, it doesn't matter what a kid's name is, the other kids will mock them.
Burnt Sienna isn't that bad anyways. It's a really pretty name, and I think you should go with it. Sienna isn't begging to be made fun of, not like Adum (child of a coworker) or Fanny or other silly names like that.

She is not going to get teased. Name teasing usually occurs in elementary school. At that age you dont know that that is a mini van, plus, who is to say they even make that for another 6 years, again, kids wouldn’t even comprehend burnt sienna. It does not rhyme with anything.
It is a beautiful and kind of unique name. The person that said kids will say it is a weird name, not true. Remember when Kolby, Hayden, Jayden were weird names, now they are the new Joseph.
Go for it, it is beautiful!

very almost ANY call you may think of of may well be twisted by some skill for use to make enjoyable of a teen. in spite of the shown fact that, in case you're taking an unusual call, like Vivaan, then it merely makes it greater handy to make enjoyable of the youngster. maximum commonplace names in English-conversing worldwide places may well be made the two masculine and woman (Daniel/Danielle), so teasing can be predicted besides. in spite of the shown fact that, no count if it is greater of a concern-loose call (like Daniel) it is far less probable. of direction, there is not any thank you to furnish a newborn a acceptance that would desire to no longer probable be twisted into something he may well be taunted with. My suggestion, in case you particularly are in touch relating to the youngster being teased, could be to stay faraway from greater recent-type names, or something that sounds too foreign places or unusual.

No matter what you name your children, mean kids will always find some way to make fun of their name, some names are worse than others, but I don't think Sienna is one of those names.
