If money is a problem for you and you are willing to take a child rather than an infant, you could look into the foster-to-adopt program through your state social services department. Those kids need homes more than anyone and sometimes the state gov't will even help you with monthly subsidies depending on the child. It's not very expensive at all. You can usually find some links online on your state gov't's web page. Good luck!

You could work 2 jobs until you are ready to adopt and all the money from the 2nd job could go towards the adoption costs and getting the nursery ready. I am working 3 jobs right now in order to pay off medical debt before we try for another baby.

There is an income tax adoption credit of about 10 thousand, so that will help. Some agencies have payment plans. I don't know where you are or plan to adopt from. We live in Texas and adopted from New Mexico and Louisiana because it was cheaper than Texas

Assuming you are in US.....Adoption is expensive. There are grants, no interest loans and then there is the government tax credit of a little over 10k. You can learn more about the tax credit on the IRS website. Good luck.

Doesn't sound like you can afford it. Why not let it go?
