A tri-semester? Is that a second trimester or third? I'm a little confused about your post.
How long were the clots? If they were bigger than quarters, you may need to call your clinic. However, after an abortion, your cycle can be wonky, so I wouldn't be too worried about it as long as everything is fine now.
I've had bleeding from a regular cycle that was so dark red that it almost looked black. Also, you can have brown bleeding, which is just old blood being expelled. Perfectly normal.

well, any medication that changes your cycle - including termination - will cause the blood in the uterus to change. the uterus is very sensitive to hormonal/chemical changes, and the change in the colour of the blood has to this. the exact process i don't know because i never studied chemistry, etc. the best thing to do is read with what european countries are publishing regarding chemical contraceptives. also, the australians produce a broader knowledge base on contraception than what is available in north america. personally, i keep my distance from all Western trained doctors and medical professions. for me they're witch doctors, but that's me.

Clotting of that sort is never a good sign. It could indicate an incomplete abortion - that is, part of the placenta could still be retained. Check with your OB/GYN. You don't want to take chances with blood clots.

It's probably left over blood. But If it gets heavier than normal and has an odor or you get light headed etc... I would go to the doc. or call the clinic you went to. They should have a 24 hour on call doc or nurse who can answer your questions. Better than anyone on yahoo. Good luck!

I had an abortion (surgical) at 5 weeks. I did not have this issue, but I have heard it is not uncommon with the abortion pill. Your uterus is cleansing itself. Unless you are having pain, a fever, or a foul smelling discharge, I would not worry about it.

Don't worry. That is a normal side effect of medical abortion. It should pass soon. You should also have a follow up with your doctor though to make sure everything is all right.

I would call either the clinic or your doctor. I've had an abortion and that didn't happen to me. But then again I didn't take the pills. Just to be safe I would call.

check with your DR asap..but black blood is dead blood and the clots may be residue of what the abortion did not get.
