Today my 6 month old gave me three kisses! The first time he did it I thought I was just crazy but he was looking at me in the eyes, leaned forward pursed his lips slightly and kissed me two other times right on the mouth at two seperate occassions. Of course I puckered up. It was amazing! I just wonder if it seems very early for him to do this. I dont think my other child gave kisses this early. His birthday is March 13, 2007.

I realized after reading a post that my little guy was doing open mouth kisses about a month ago, I just dismissed it as him trying to eat my face and being silly! I feel so bad that I did not think of it as kisses.

Sounds like you're little "Romeo" - is already practicing for the "Big Time"! :) EVERY baby is unique on this subject...-Just keep these memories "filed away"- for when you catch him making out with the girl next-door when he's 9 ! :)

That is a little early, but still very normal. My daughter started doing it around that age and my son started around 7-8months. I think it is one of the most beautiful moments a parent can have with their new child. I loved the open mouth kisses! With slobber all over my face haha.. My son still does the open mouth kisses at 14 months...my daughter is now 2 and a half and does real puckered up kisses now.. I actually miss the open mouth slobber ones I used to get from her. Enjoy this...trust me.. It is a great time for both of you!
