I thought I would go to the park and as the paretns show up, to tell them I can take their child in my van to A and W or they can drop them off there if they want. When the last person shows up and is informed, I will go and meet the other kids whose paretns took them. Than what? What do you do with 9 kids at A and W for an hour and a half? Can I bring my cake in?

Chucky cheese :)) its always a fun place to take kids. Um.. Or somewhere like golf land (not golfind but indoor arcades and pizza)

But about A and W i dont really think they'd have a problem with you brinking a birthday cake in.. I worked at pizza hut and we used to get birthday requests all the time.

I think it would be better to go to a Pizza parlor with Arcade Games or something. Call around in a hurry tomorrow morning and ask if there is a party room that you can reserve last minute. Then I would just call everyone first thing in the day (if you have their numbers) to say that the party is at the Pizza Parlor because of the rain... otherwise they might just opt not to come because it's raining out. I would also move the party time back a half hour and then go to the park at the originally designated time to wait for any parents/children you couldn't get in touch with to let them know the change of plans before heading to the party.

Or you can opt for the skating rink. A community center type place, like someone else mentioned. Or a Chuck E Cheese. An Arcade that allows kids parties. Call first thing tomorrow. And let everyone know as early as possible.

Can't you call all the parents early tomorrow morning and tell them the back up plan so that you are not stuck waiting at the park? Could you take them somewhere like to a Peter Piper's Pizza, bowling alley or rollerskating rink? And, yes, you can take cakes into places like these.

First of all, if it was raining I don't think that any parent in their right mind would show up. Try calling them and make it at a bowling alley. They have those bumper pads and lighter balls for kids. They will charge you only for the ones that show up. They can provide food and you can take your own cake.

The parents can wait in bar and have a few drinks on their dime.

I would call them. If there's only nine kids you're talking about, it shouldn't be a problem.

About the A&W, you need to call them.
