Pregnancy & Parenting - 25 September 2007

My stepson has recently been demonstrating really violent behavior. I'm worried because his biological mother had a mood disorder and was very violent. I'm pregnant and I don't want him around the baby if this behavior continues. He's in therapy but it doesn't seem to be helping at this point. I feel like we've tried everything.
We need some help.

I'm 18. My mom is getting married and my new stepfather wants to adopt me even tough I'm 18. My father died when I was a kid so my mom has my custody. I read that it is possible if both parts agree to it. And I also read that in the state of Maryland (where I live) any person of any age can be adopted. The thing is that I was born in Spain. I've been there for about 2 years. My papers are filed but as always it takes a long time. So my stepfather wants to adopt me so we can get the papers faster, because he wants to take us for a vacation in Europe. But don't get me wrong, is not all because of getting the papers faster, he is a great man and he has show me what a father is. My dad died when I was a little kid so I never knew what was like to have a father. And he is been there for my mom and me. And I was so honor when he asked me to have his last name... Anyway, can he really adopt me? Is there any legal issue that may arise?
Any help would be greatly appreciated...! =)

what do you think, do you think it's a good curfew.
my biggest question was does it count for your own home. i saw it on the news and it said, if a child is found outside after the curfew, with no parent outside then the police could take the child to a safe place. i think that this is a pretty good curfew, unless it includes the own home. we were aloud to play in our yard late at night, we always have weenie roast and we are out till like 2 in the morning and our parents are inside. i am 17 my sister is 14 and my other sister is 6.

My first child is soon due and I understand the benefits of breastmilk. I would like to breastfeed by pumping the milk and bottlefeeding the baby. Are there any disadvantages to this? Please don't respond about the mother-baby bonding, because faciltating the father-baby bonding is part of my reason for wanting to do it this way.

I just ended a friendship with a very toxic friend of mine (as advised by the yahoo questions community) and she has invited me to attend her son's birthday party. Our kids used to play together and that's how we became friends. She hasn't attended anything that I've put together, so I feel a little weird about her inviting me in the first place...

I honestly don't know what to do. I know it's for the kids, but I don't want to be the subject of her gossiping at the party and I don't want to feel bad about myself all over again!

I am calling my obgyn so i can schedule an appointment. a friend of mine told me about clomid. she never used it just heard bout it and decided to tell me about it. my fiance went to the neurologist and is getting a sperm analysis on the 1st of october. So i wanted to know hoq clomid works. has anyone used it and if it worked for them. I just want to know all about it from people who used it. or are currently using it now.. WISH ME LUCK!!! been getting worse last 2 days, pushing down pains, i know baby been head down for last couple of weeks, could this be why its painful? I am having the hardest time thinking of boys names that don't end in 'n' and yet aren't too plain! All the names i can think of that i really like end with and 'n' and my sons does also..I'm planning on having a bit of kids, and I'd like a little more variety than that if they all turn out to be boys. I just had my 18 week ultrasound and, most likely... it's a boy. As far as we can tell, a healthy baby boy
I, currently, have one child, a 2 1/2 year old son.

I did not have a gender preference one way or the other, I (honestly) only care that he/ she is healthy. (I will admit, I had a slight preference the 1st time--- but none this time.)
Anyhow, some of the people I've told have replied with, "I'm sorry" or "maybe you can try again for a girl". My husband has never voiced a preference either.
I just don't get it.
Do most people want one of each?
Or, is this only b/c "they" wanted it to be a girl?

Well, I had some pads in my backpack today and some stupid girl looked in there and found them and held them up!!! Isn't that invading my privacy!! I was humiliated! What do you think? Tell me what you think and tell me your most embarrassing moment of when you grew up.


BTW, I don't have my period I just keep them in there just in case.

My doc is worried I might have it because of recent weight gain and also glucose in my urine... but I have also been so nauseated that I have to eat all the time and that could be contributing to everything and not necessarily mean GD. How did you or do you control it?

So I am packing my bag for the hospital and It's already getting kind of full. Mostly because I made a bag of snacks for the nurses station since they help you the whole time and it's taking up a lot of room. So did anyone bring a bag for themselves and a diaper bag for the baby?? Or is that too many bags?

hi. im 27 weeks pregnant with my first ;) and was planning on throughing a baby shower for a close friend who is 32 weeks pregnant. i was kind of shocked when i asked her mother if she wanted to help out because all she said was "well, its not as though we can afford to throw one for you, you know" i was left somewhat speechless since i am not throwing this shower for her so i can get one in return. my sisters are going to host mine. why would she say something like that? is it really so obviously inappropriate to be pregnant and host a baby shower for somebody else. please give me some opinions ladies as i don't feel it is fair to be treated like this.

Just wondering I am cd13 and my cm is cloudy but wet and there doesn't seem to be a lot of it sorry(TMI) is this right for this time in my cycle this is the first time i have REALLY tracked my cm. I usually have a 28-29day cycle. It could be me but usually i am sure i normally have a lot more by this time. Thanks in advance for your answers.

i have always had an iregular period. ALWAYS! i have not gotten my period in two months, that has happened before. but i took a pregnancy test about 3 weeks ago just to be sure, and the negative line appeared RIGHT AWAY. i still waited the amount said in the box, but i had it in my hand, moving it. is there still a chance i can be pregnant? i know it is better to go get a blood test, and i will. i just want to know what are the chances of this happening? remember, i have always been iregular.

So this is what's going on...

~Last period Sep. 1st.
~Took OPK on Mon. 17th, it was positive.
~BD'd Tues. morning, Wed. afternoon.
~Some waves of feeling nauseous (on & off, not consistent).
~Sore breasts.
~Stronger sense of smell? (Not sure, but the man beside me's lunch stank to high heaven, but maybe it wasn't just me!)
~Sore armpits!!! This a.m. when I shaved it was sooo sensitive and it hurt to touch my pits!
~Headaches, just since 9/24
~Very sleepy; last night slept 10 hours and still felt tired!

Not much else...

What do you think?

I know it's too early to get real results from a HPT, so I would LOVE to hear your OPINION....
