Your best source of information about stuttering in young children is The Stuttering Foundation of America at www.stutteringhelp.org. They have tips for parents of things you can do at home as well as a risk chart on stuttering. You are wise to ask the question while your child is this young. You will know what to do and how to react to any stuttering that does occur well in advance and the family will be better for it. There is so much information on the web site that you will want to read through all of it and become well informed. Wish all parents were as devoted to their children's well being! God bless you.

Don't think you can tell at this point. The good news as there are many advances on treating stuttering (since it appears to be an issue with the brain). On Discovery Health a couple of weeks ago, they featured a guy who was this doctor's worst case of stuttering. The treatment eliminated it. This is great news for stutterers.
