i have always had an iregular period. ALWAYS! i have not gotten my period in two months, that has happened before. but i took a pregnancy test about 3 weeks ago just to be sure, and the negative line appeared RIGHT AWAY. i still waited the amount said in the box, but i had it in my hand, moving it. is there still a chance i can be pregnant? i know it is better to go get a blood test, and i will. i just want to know what are the chances of this happening? remember, i have always been iregular.

If someone actually gave you a percentage then that would be incorrect.

Things that can cause a late period other than pregnancy:

*Not enough body fat
*Poly-cystic ovarian syndrome
*Stress
*Genetics

There's much more too. If you don't have any sort of sickness, "morning sickness" or stomach bug , I wouldn't worry. But if a blood test would make you rest more easily then go get one.

(FYI-There is only a 48 hour window for a woman to get pregnant if she has never been pregnant before.)

Buy and EPT and take the test FIRST thing in the morning. After you take the test...don't shake it lay it flat on the counter and wait and see what it says. IF still negative I would call your doctor and get put on birth controll to regulate your periods.

you may or may not be pregnant. If you want to wait a little and see what happens that's fine. If you never start then another test would probably be a good idea

No, I don't believe so. Having irregular periods means you have a problem ovulating. You need to see your doctor, especially if you are trying to get pregnant, and find out what is causing the problem.
